UNTOLD STORIES OF THE ER

Episodes Premiere Fridays at 10 PM (ET/PT) on Discovery Fit & Health

Episodes Encore Saturdays at 9 PM (ET/PT) on TLC

Currently in its eighth season, UNTOLD STORIES OF THE ER goes behind the hospital curtain to feature the dramatic stories of real-life trips to the emergency room. Recounting the heart-racing cases that changed their lives, patients and doctors alike share the unusual, sometimes humorous, touching and emotionally explosive true tales about the clash of life and death in the Emergency Room. Doctors reveal the intense nature of medicine practiced under pressure, where every moment and decision can be a turning point. Interspersed with vivid reenactments shot in actual emergency rooms, trauma units, and intensive care wards, UNTOLD STORIES OF THE ER is a testament to medical heroes, providing a true-to-life depiction of the daily battle ER doctors take on in order to save lives.

· When It Rains Premieres Friday, November 1 at 10PM (ET/PT) In a small town ER, Nurse Terry Foster is caring for a patient who recently had carotid artery surgery when his incision bursts and blood sprays relentlessly from his neck. With medevac helicopters grounded by a heavy rainstorm, Nurse Foster is all that stands between life and death for this patient. When two glamorous women are admitted to the ER in extreme respiratory distress, Dr. Murdoc Kaleghi suspects their symptoms are somehow connected. After figuring out what caused their deadly symptoms, he's now in a race to save their lives. Multiple mysteries confront ER Dr. Aaron Billin when the local sheriff brings a disoriented coin collector into his E.R. Before long, they've solved a crime, but figuring out why his patient is at death's door proves to be another challenge... and time is running out.

· Chocolate Pudding Premieres Friday, November 8 at 10PM (ET/PT) A young man is found wearing only underwear and running shoes. He is brought into Dr. Kathleen Clem's ER where she determines he is probably suffering a psychotic break. The patient has an insatiable craving for chocolate pudding, which turns out to have consequences nobody expected. A college student arrives in the ER short of breath and covered in red blotches. Just when Dr. Neal Aulick thinks he has the problem solved, his patient's symptoms flare up again. A reluctant patient checks himself into the ER with a very swollen face. Dr. Maria Vasilyadis tries to figure out the source of swelling when the patient's face suddenly starts ballooning out of proportion.

· Rattled Premieres Friday, November 15 at 10 PM (ET/PT) When a hiker tells Dr. John Lucas she's been bitten by a rattlesnake, he's skeptical. But he soon learns that she's right when her condition becomes critical. Dr. Lucas and his staff race against the clock to find enough anti-venom to save her life. As a first year intern, ER Doctor Andy Kahn is tested by an apparent psychiatric patient: a man who won't stop masturbating. But his relentless pursuit of a diagnosis surprises everyone when the man's life-threatening condition is finally revealed. Then, what begins as an unexplained seizure in the maternity ward becomes a trial by fire for ER doctor Tad McReynolds who's called to the scene to save the young mother's life.
