Hosted by nationally renowned journalist Bill Kurtis (A&E Investigative Reports, Cold Case Files, American Justice), JFK: Inside the Evidence takes viewers deeper into the evidence and conclusions presented in JFK: The Smoking Gun through closer examination and scrutiny of the key elements of the documentary, which premieres Sunday, November 3. Kurtis challenges the men behind the documentary including veteran police detective Colin McLaren ("JFK: The Smoking Gun") and Bonar Menninger ("Mortal Error: The Shot That Killed JFK"). JFK: Inside the Evidence also features a rare interview with U.S. District Judge John R. Tunheim, who chaired the Assassination Records Review Board (ARRB), which met for four years during the Clinton Administration after its formation under the President John. F. Kennedy Assassination Records Collection Act of 1992. Under Tunheim's leadership, the ARRB uncovered, verified and made public more than five million pages of documents, evidence and witness statements. Much of what was released by the ARRB is what opened the door for greater public scrutiny into the assassination of President Kennedy, including the in-depth investigation that made the documentary JFK: The Smoking Gun possible.

Joining the discussion with Bill Kurtis, Colin McLaren and Bonar Menninger are also firearms examiner Leonard Romero and forensic pathologist Dr. Juan Carrillo.

Kurtis and guests also discuss what really happened during JFK's treatment from the illegal removal of the body in Texas to the hastily conducted autopsy back in Washington, D.C. and the mystery surrounding the disappearance of what is potentially the most powerful piece of evidence - President Kennedy's brain.

About Bill Kurtis

Host Bill Kurtis has more than 40 years of experience as an award-winning journalist and television veteran. After working as co-host on CBS Morning News, Kurtis began a new phase of his career as a host and producer of documentary television series. Establishing his own production company, Kurtis Productions, he created American Greed for CNBS, Investigative Reports, Cold Case Files and other programs for the A&E Television Network. As a producer, Kurtis earned two Emmy Award(R) nominations for Cold Case Files for Outstanding Nonfiction Series in 2004 and 2005. He also serves as host on the popular American Justice series, which looks at famous legal cases and their impact on the law.

About Leonard Romero and Dr. Juan Carrillo

Leonard Romero served with the LAPD for 11 years as a Firearms Examiner and Criminalist and was in charge of the Forensic Firearms Unit at the Oxnard Police Department for six years. He specializes in firearm trajectory and bullet path analysis. Romero is currently an independent Firearms Examiner and an expert witness for the LA Superior Court.

Dr. Carrillo is an American Board Certified Forensic Pathologist and a Deputy Medical Examiner for the Los Angeles County Department of the Coroner. He has been with the department for 16 years and has performed 1,200 autopsies involving bullets, 500 of which were homicides.
