98 DEGREES, PAT BENATAR AND NEIL GIRALDO, ALSO SEASON THREE CHAMPIONS PENTATONIX TO PERFORM ON A SPECIAL HOLIDAY THEMED "THE SING-OFF" SEASON FINALE
UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - Dec. 20, 2013 - 98 Degrees, Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo, also Pentatonix are set to perform on the Dec. 23 (8-10 p.m. ET/PT) special Holiday themed season finale of NBC's musical competition series "The Sing-Off."
The episode is set to feature the three finalists that remain this season: Home Free, Ten and Vocal Rush. The judges will perform with the groups - Jewel with Home Free, Shawn Stockman with Ten and Ben Folds with Vocal Rush. The other seven groups who have been eliminated will return to the show to perform.
Also performing will be host Nick Lachey and Jewel. The pair will duet on "It Had to Be You."
The Grammy-nominated 98 Degrees (Nick Lachey, Drew Lachey, Justin Jeffre and Jeff Timmons) are set to perform "I'll Be Home for Christmas." From its 1997 debut disc "98°" through 2002 with "The Collection," 98 Degrees has sold 10 million albums.
After going on an extended hiatus, the group announced its reunion in June 2012 and released its new album "2.0" in February. In May, the band embarked on "The Package Tour" with New Kids on the Block and Boyz II Men.
Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo will sing their chart toping 1984 hit (Billboard Hot 100 no. 5) "We Belong". The pair has sold more than 30 million copies of their 12 original albums, along with two live records and an anthology. Pat Benatar won an unprecedented four consecutive Grammy Awards for Best Female Rock Performance for the LP Crimes of Passion (1980) and the songs "Fire and Ice" (1981), "Shadows of the Night" (1982), and "Love Is a Battlefield" (1983).
Pat and Neil's other hits include "Hit Me with Your Best Shot," "Heartbreaker" and "Promises in the Dark." This year the powerhouse duo celebrates 35 years of making music together and 33 years of marriage. Their groundbreaking path of success includes a collection of multi-platinum albums, top 40 singles, and American Music Awards, plus rave reviews and countless sold-out concerts.
Pentatonix recently scored their second top-10 on the Billboard Top 200 Album Chart with their "PTX Volume 2" and PTXmas CD releases from Madison Gate Records. They have over 250 million YouTube Views with over 3.4 million subscribers and 780,000 followers on Facebook and their brand new nationwide tour kicks off Feb 4, 2014.
