NEW YORK, January 28, 2014 -- Steve Bodow, Jen Flanz and Adam Lowitt have been promoted to Executive Producers, Tim Greenberg and Hillary Kun to Co-Executive Producers, Justin Melkmann to Supervising Producer and Elliott Kalan as Head Writer, it was announced today by Jon Stewart, Executive Producer, Writer and Host of "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart."

The seasoned staffers have all maintained lengthy posts at the critically-acclaimed series. Bodow joined the show in 2002 and held positions as a Writer (2002-2006), Head Writer (2007-2010), Supervising Producer (2008-2010) and Co-Executive Producer (2011-2013). Flanz started in 1998 as a Production Assistant (1998-1999) and moved on to roles as an Assistant Production Coordinator (1999-2000), Production Coordinator, (2000-2001), Production Manager (2001-2003), Coordinating Producer (2003-2007), Supervising Producer (2007-2010) and Co-Executive Producer (2011-2013). Lowitt joined in 2002 as a Post-Production Assistant (2002-2003) and then moved on to Tape Coordinator (2003-2004), Footage Supervisor (2004-2007), Segment Producer (2007-2008), Senior Segment Producer (2008-2010), Senior Producer (2010-2012) and Supervising Producer (2012-2013).

Greenberg started in 2006 as a Field Producer (2006-2012) and then became a Supervising Producer (2012-2013). Kun began in 2001 as a Talent Producer (2001-2009) and then moved onto Supervising Producer (2009-2014), and continues to book the show's stellar caliber of guest appearances. Melkmann is the one of the most tenured staffers, having joined in 1996 as a Post-Production Supervisor (1996-2003) and held positions as a Segment Producer (2003-2008), Senior Segment Producer (2008-2010) and Senior Producer (2010-2013).

Kalan started in 2003 as a Production Assistant (2003-2005) and then held roles as an Associate Segment Producer (2005-2007), Segment Producer (2007-2008) and Writer (2008-2014).

"The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" is an eighteen-time Emmy(R) winner (including a record ten consecutive wins for program) with a grand total of 50 Primetime Emmy nominations. The series is also a two-time winner of the prestigious Peabody(R) Award for Excellence in Broadcasting.

"The Daily Show" airs Monday-Thursday at 11:00 p.m. and repeats at 1:00 a.m. the same night and at 9:00 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. the following day (all times ET/PT). "THE COLBERT REPORT" NAMES EMILY LAZAR AS CO-EXECUTIVE PRODUCER

NEW YORK, January 28, 2014 - Emily Lazar has been promoted to Co-Executive Producer of Comedy Central's(R) "The Colbert Report," it was announced today by Stephen Colbert, Executive Producer, Writer and Host of the program. Lazar formerly served as Supervising Producer.

"For over 1,300 shows Emily Lazar has introduced me to people and ideas I never knew I cared so much about," said Colbert. "She really makes me seem interesting."

Lazar has been with "The Colbert Report" since its 2005 launch. During her tenure at the show, she has received numerous Producers Guild Awards, a Primetime Emmy(R) Award for Outstanding Variety Series and two Peabody(R) Awards for Excellence in Broadcasting.

Lazar is responsible for securing a vast spectrum of guest appearances, ranging from the political realm, including First Lady Michelle Obama, Former President Bill Clinton and Rick Santorum, to high profile musical acts like Paul McCartney, Radiohead and Coldplay, to Hollywood A-listers including Matt Damon, Kevin Spacey and Sir Ian McKellan.

Lazar hails from a journalism background and entered the production world having worked as a talent booker at CNN, a producer for Harry Smith at "CBS News" and at "Charlie Rose" where she served as one of Rose's first producers. During her time at "CBS News," Lazar received a News & Documentary Emmy(R) Award for her work with Harry Smith and then at CNN, a Peabody(R) Award for Katrina coverage. She has also worked on shows such as Al Franken's "Lateline," Candice Bergen's "Exhale" and as a talent booker for "Politically Incorrect with Bill Maher." Lazar is a graduate of Harvard University and married with three children.

Since the show's inception in 2005, "The Colbert Report" has been nominated for Emmys(R) in the show, writing and directing categories for eight consecutive years and its total number of nominations now stands at 34. The series received its first Primetime Emmy(R) Award for Outstanding Variety Series in 2013 and nabbed Outstanding Writing for a Variety, Music or Comedy Program in 2008, 2010 and 2013. "The Colbert Report" has been also cited for two prestigious Peabody(R) Awards for Excellence in Broadcasting in 2008 and 2012.
