"On the Record: Don't Put Dirt On My Grave Just Yet" goes behind the scenes with "Nashville's" music supervisor, Frankie Pine, songwriters Trent Dabbs and Caitlyn Smith and the song's performer Hayden Panettiere. In this week's episode, fans hear first-hand how closely related the song is to the storyline and how a song can be perfect for the series, but may have to be reworked before making it into an episode.

"This song had a difference of opinion on whether or not we should use it. So I brought Trent Dabbs in -- one of the writers," shared Pine.

"Frankie asked if I would be interested in rewriting the verses to fit the episode, so I had 30 minutes in front of Buddy Miller to try to rewrite a song -- No pressure," said Dabbs.

"He ended up nailing it and now Miss Hayden is going to sing it," added Pine.

"Nashville" airs WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 29 (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET) with a new episode and new music.
