ESPN2 to Televise A11FL Games
New Spring Professional Football League Debuts in 2014
ESPN2 will televise a pair of A11FL games as the new spring professional football league makes its debut in 2014. As part of a new rights agreement with the league, ESPN's video player will also be available on the A11FL website, http://a11fl.com/.
The A11FL games on ESPN2 are scheduled to air Saturday, May 17 at 7:30 p.m. ET (from Raymond James Stadium) and Thursday, June 5 at 7 p.m. (from the Cotton Bowl in Dallas). The game matchups will be announced at a later date.
"With its unique formations, A11FL will be an exciting brand of football, and ESPN is excited to offer a national platform for fans to be able to see these games during the league's debut," said Matthew Volk, ESPN director, programming and acquisitions.
"As we enthusiastically look at the launch of our league and what is best for our fans and sponsors we are most pleased to announce this TV relationship with ESPN," said A11FL CEO/Commissioner Scott McKibben. "It is truly a win-win for all."
