SUPERSTAR DIERKS BENTLEY INVITES FANS INTO HIS WORLD IN THE PERSONAL FILM "DIERKS BENTLEY: RISER," PREMIERING SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 22 ON CMT

NASHVILLE - February 19, 2014 - Singer/songwriter Dierks Bentley offers an up close and personal look into his life with a special half-hour TV edit of his new film DIERKS BENTLEY: RISER, premiering exclusively this Saturday, February 22 at 2:00-2:30 p.m. ET/PT on CMT. Teeing up the film premiere and his upcoming album release, Bentley stopped by the studio for a performance on this week's episode of CMT HOT 20 COUNTDOWN, airing Saturday, February 22 at 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. ET/PT. DIERKS BENTLEY: RISER documents the superstar's ups and downs following the death of his father through the birth of his first son, the story which inspired his upcoming seventh studio album RISER, available in stores on February 25. Directed by Wes Edwards, multiple film crews shadowed Bentley over two years logging thousands of hours of tape, edited down to the most pivotal moments by The Moving Pictures Boys (Nashville Docujournal, The Country Club Film). The film covers the most quiet, pensive moments from Bentley's bunk on the tour bus to the rush of excitement in the delivery room for the birth of his son Knox, all set to the soundtrack of the album that these events inspired.

The film RISER will air in its entirety in select markets and on Palladia, Viacom's high-definition music channel. The film will also be available on CMT.comand video on demand. For exclusive previews, visit dierksbentley.CMT.com or tune into CMT Music hours between 6:00 a.m. - noon ET/PT, throughout the week. Fans can also visit CMT.com for a chance to win a trip to Virginia Beach to hang backstage with Bentley.

Throughout his career, Bentley has mixed elements of modern country, classic country, bluegrass and rock, maintaining an unmistakable identity while constantly reinventing his sound. His last album, "Home," debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Country Album chart and spawned three consecutive chart-topping hits, marking 10 career No. 1 songs for Bentley as a singer and songwriter. His five previous studio albums have sold more than 5 million copies and earned 11 Grammy nominations, countless CMA, ACM and CMT Music Award nominations and membership at the Grand Ole Opry. Bentley will kick off his headlining Riser Tour on May 9 in Charlotte, N.C. For more information on the upcoming tour and new music, visit www.dierks.com.
