COMEDY CENTRAL(R) PROMOTES BROOKE POSCH TO SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, ORIGINAL PROGRAMMING AND DEVELOPMENT, EAST COAST

NEW YORK, February 27, 2014 - Comedy Central has promoted Brooke Posch to Senior Vice President, Original Programming and Development, East Coast, it was announced by Kent Alterman, President, Content Development and Original Programming, to whom she reports. Posch, formerly Vice President, will continue to oversee development and production on all east coast-based Comedy Central original pilots and series, including the critically-acclaimed "Broad City" which was renewed earlier this week for a second season.

"Brooke is so personable and has such finely-tuned creative instincts she could do anything she wants in this business," said Alterman. "I'm just grateful she's letting me be her boss."

In her short time at Comedy Central, Posch (named one of The Hollywood Reporter's 2013 35 under 35 Next Gen Executives) has established a robust roster of comedies in development and utilized her strong relationships within the comedy community to secure several talent deals for the network. In her new position, she will continue to oversee "Broad City," the scripted series executive produced by Amy Poehler that stars the female sketch duo and Upright Citizens Brigade alums Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer. She will also continue to oversee the hit series "Inside Amy Schumer," the network's highest-rated premiere last year, which is currently in production on a second season. Posch is currently developing projects with a wide variety of talent including Hannibal Buress and Chris Gethard, as well as Lorne Michaels' digital platform, Above Average.

Prior to Comedy Central, Posch served as MTV's Vice President, Comedy and Animation, where she oversaw development for studio, game, unscripted and animated pilots including "The Substitute," "Epic Fail," and the award-winning documentary series "World of Jenks." She also developed a late-night talk show with comedians Nikki Glaser and Sara Schaefer. Preceding MTV, Posch was with Crossroads Television as its Director of Development/Executive Producer, developing projects for Nickelodeon, IFC, MTV, VH1 and Bravo.

Before her shift to the development side of the business, Posch worked as a producer on a variety of projects including indie comedy "May the Best Man Win," which starred Rob Hueble, Rob Riggle, Horatio Sanz and Chris Gemberling, "Steven's Untitled Rock Show" (Fuse), "Last Call with Carson Daly" (NBC), "NBC's New Year's Eve with Carson Daly" and "McEnroe (CNBC). Posch began her career in entertainment working for the legendary Lorne Michaels at "Saturday Night Live."
