PROOF (TNT; W: Rob Bragin; D: Alex Graves) - Jennifer Beals ("The Chicago Code") has been tapped for the lead role on the drama pilot, about Katherine Russo, a skeptical, hard science, female surgeon who is persuaded to investigate cases of reincarnation, out-of-body experiences, hauntings to find verifiable proof whether death truly is the end. Also starring in the hour are Caroline Rose Kaplan, Callum Blue and Edi Gathegi. (Deadline.com)


SCORPION (CBS/CTS; W: Nick Santora; D: Justin Lin) - Robert Patrick ("Last Resort") is the first to be cast in the drama pilot, about an eccentric genius and his international network of super-geniuses who form the last line of defense against the complex threats of the modern age. He'll play Cabe Gallo, a blue collar, no nonsense Federal Agent who works with said group, the Intelli-Gents. (Deadline.com)


SUPERNATURAL: BLOODLINES (A.K.A. SUPERNATURAL: TRIBES) (The CW/Warner Bros.; W: Andrew Dabb; D: Robert Singer) - Melissa Roxburgh ("Arrow") will round out the cast of the proposed spin-off, about the various mafia-esque monster families that unknowingly to humans run the underbelly of Chicago and who are being tracked by Ennis Roth (Lucien Laviscount), a newly minted Hunter who's trying to stop them and rid Chicago of anything or anyone supernatural. She'll play Violet Durant, "a member of the powerful werewolf pack who hides her true nature because of her forbidden love for family rival David (Nathaniel Bozulic)." Also starring are Danielle Savre, Sean Faris and Stephen Martines. (Deadline.com)
