GSN GREENLIGHTS 40 EPISODES OF NEW ORIGINAL SERIES "IDIOT TEST," HOSTED BY COMEDIAN BEN GLEIB

Based on the Highly Popular Game App, IDIOT TEST Gives Two Rival Contestant Teams the Opportunity to Face Off to Determine Who is the True "Idiot"

March 18, 2014 (New York, NY) - GSN announced today that it has greenlit the new original series IDIOT TEST with host Ben Gleib, the comedian and actor famed for his regular appearances on "Chelsea Lately." IDIOT TEST, based on the highly popular game app, pits two pairs of contestants with a preexisting rivalry against each other in a competition to determine who is the true "idiot." The network has ordered 40 episodes of the series, which is scheduled to debut later this year.

"IDIOT TEST hilariously proves that the answer can be staring you in the face all the time, and you're only an 'idiot' for not seeing what's right in front of you," says Amy Introcaso-Davis, GSN's EVP Programming and Development.

"The greatest comedy comes from the unexpected, and that's what I love about IDIOT TEST," adds host Ben Gleib. "That, and people looking like idiots. So basically, this is a win-win situation for me."

In each half-hour episode of IDIOT TEST, two pairs of contestants with a preexisting rivalry in anything from colleges (i.e. UCLA vs USC) to sci fi (i.e. "Star Trek" fans vs. "Star Wars" fans), face off to determine once and for all, which teams of two are the true "Idiots." The rival pairs will go head to head in several rounds of rapid-fire questions whose answers any "idiot" should know: the questions, taken from the game, test observation and attention to detail as much as they test general knowledge. The contestant pairs will really need to be on their toes to come out on top. IDIOT TEST is executive produced by Adam Rosenblatt, Jamie Rosenblatt, and Christian Horner of H2R Productions; Ryan Devlin and Shawn Greenson of He Shoots, He Scores Productions; and Larry Barron and Ryan Curtis. Mark Cronin of Little Wooden Boat Productions will also serve as Executive Producer.

Gleib, who previously hosted GSN LIVE for GSN, is a standup comedian, actor, and TV host, perhaps best known as a round-table regular on the hit show "Chelsea Lately" on E!, having appeared on the show more than 100 times. Esquire magazine named him one of "Six comedians who could be comedy's next big thing." He is the voice of Marshall the Sloth in 20th Century Fox's "Ice Age: Continental Drift," the number-one animated movie of all time internationally. Gleib also makes appearances as a guest correspondent on CNN, sharing his comedic take on politics. He has appeared on "Good Morning America," "SportsCenter," "Extra," "Access Hollywood Live," "The Late Late Show" on CBS, "After Lately," "The Arsenio Hall Show,"and on NBC's "Last Call with Carson Daly" and "Last Comic Standing." Gleib's online videos have received a total of more than 15 million views.
