TRENT GREEN JOINS CBS SPORTS AS NFL GAME ANALYST

Green to Provide Analysis Across Multiple CBS Sports Platforms Including "THE NFL ON CBS," "NFL MONDAY QB" and "THAT OTHER PREGAME SHOW"

Strengthening its already deep NFL announce team line-up, former 15-year NFL quarterback Trent Green joins CBS Sports as a game analyst for the CBS Television Network's coverage of THE NFL ON CBS. The announcement was made today by Sean McManus, Chairman, CBS Sports.

In addition, Green will contribute across multiple CBS Sports platforms including CBS Sports Network's show, NFL MONDAY QB, and Sunday pre-game show, THAT OTHER PREGAME SHOW (TOPS). Green's broadcast partner will be announced at a later date.

"Trent's experience and knowledge of the game, success as an NFL studio analyst and radio broadcaster, combined with his contemporary take on today's NFL, make him a perfect fit to an already deep roster," said McManus. "We are excited for Trent to join the CBS Sports family."

In 2009, after a career in which he quarterbacked for the San Diego Chargers (1993-94), Washington Redskins (1995-98), St. Louis Rams (1999-2000, 2008), Kansas City Chiefs (2000-06) and Miami Dolphins (2007), Green began his broadcast career working as an NFL analyst on regional games on Fox for one season, as well as a studio analyst for the NFL Network's show, NFL Total Access. He also worked on Thursday Night Football NFL radio broadcasts on Westwood One, as well as Kansas City Chiefs preseason broadcasts.

Green's career was highlighted by his contributions to his hometown Rams' victory in Super Bowl XXXIV over the Tennessee Titans, and with the Chiefs in 2001 when he became only the fourth quarterback, at the time, to throw for more than 4,000 yards in three consecutive seasons (Dan Fouts, Peyton Manning and Dan Marino). Also during his time in Kansas City, Green twice led the Chiefs into the playoffs and played in two Pro Bowls. He finished his career passing for 28,475 yards and 162 touchdowns, while compiling a quarterback rating of 86.0.

Upon graduating from Indiana University with a business degree, Green was drafted in the eighth round of the 1993 NFL Draft by the San Diego Chargers. Born July 9, 1970 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Green grew up in St. Louis, Mo. He is currently the chairman of the Trent Green Family Foundation. Green and his wife, Julie, have three children and reside in the greater Kansas City area.
