NEW CHEFS, NEW GAMES, AND NEW GROCERY STORE DEBUT IN SECOND SEASON OF "GUY'S GROCERY GAMES," HOSTED BY GUY FIERI

Season Two Premieres May 11th at 8pm ET/PT on Food Network

NEW YORK - April 3, 2014 - Guy Fieri returns for the second season of the hit supermarket-themed culinary competition Guy's Grocery Games, premiering Sunday, May 11th at 8pm ET/PT on Food Network. Each episode four talented chefs compete in a number of challenges as they navigate their way through the aisles of a grocery store, adhering to "real-world" obstacles. Whether it is shopping on a budget, substituting out-of-stock ingredients or grabbing groceries at closing time, each chef has to shop, prepare, and plate three different dishes using whatever they can pull off the shelves. Ultimately, the food does the talking, as one-by-one the losing chefs "check out," by a rotating panel of judges that includes Melissa d'Arabian, Richard Blais, G. Garvin, Troy Johnson, Catherine McCord, Aarti Sequeira, among others. The last chef standing goes on a shopping spree of a lifetime worth up to $20,000!

"Guy's warm and approachable personality as well as his ability to see almost any task as fun makes him the perfect host of Grocery Games," said Bob Tuschman, General Manager and Senior Vice President, Food Network. "With new, never-before-seen games, competitors will have their hands full - literally - in these supermarket-based challenges that are sure to have them scrambling down the aisles for a chance at $20,000."

In the premiere episode four devoted moms and talented chefs are competing in a special Mother's Day showdown, as they battle it out in a new game called ABC, where they can only cook with ingredients that start with the same letter. Next, in Budget Battle, three chefs make a brunch for four on a whopping budget of $7.08. Then, Guy throws everyone for a loop in the final game, Cart Swap, as the two remaining chefs prepare a guilty pleasure. The competitor who makes the most indulgent dish advances to Guy's Shopping Spree in the hopes of winning $20,000. Don't' miss all the fun and games throughout the season, including a special Next Food Network Star showdown, featuring past Star winners going aisle to aisle against each other, plus battle of the Food Network All-Stars - with Chopped judges Alex Guarnaschelli and Marc Murphy; America's Best Cook mentor Cat Cora; and Next Iron Chef/Iron Chef America competitor Marcel Vigneron - going head to head for the charity of their choice along with ultimate bragging rights.

You can catch interviews with host Guy Fieri, get a behind-the-scenes look at the set, and view original videos including The Making of Guy's Grocery Games on Food Network.com and follow the games on Twitter using #GroceryGames.
