EXCLUSIVE WORLD PREMIERE OF HOUR-LONG SPECIAL "SUPERSONG" STARRING RICKY MARTIN LAUNCHES ON CRACKLE APRIL 21

Supersong takes viewers inside the making of 2014 FIFA World CupTM winning song 'Vida'

Culver City, CA - April 17, 2014 - Crackle announces the world premiere of "SuperSong," an hour-long special premiering April 21st exclusively on Crackle and all Crackle platforms in the U.S. and Canada. "SuperSong" takes viewers behind-the-scenes with global superstar Ricky Martin and music producer Salaam Remi as they record SuperSong contest winner Elijah King's winning track, 'Vida,' for the Official Album of the 2014 FIFA World Cup(TM). Viewers follow King through his once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be mentored by the two music legends, which culminates with the world premiere of the 'Vida' track and music video.

"Working with the brilliant superstar producer Salaam Remi and the up-and-coming artist and 'SuperSong' winner, Elijah King was an incredibly rewarding experience," said Ricky Martin. "When you're given this kind of opportunity, you want the world to see - letting cameras in to document the process was a no-brainer and we're excited to share it with viewers everywhere."

Last December, Martin, Sony, and companies from across the Sony Group, including Sony Music Entertainment, invited aspiring musicians, music fans and football fans alike from around the world to www.supersong.com to submit original song proposals for the Official Album of the 2014 FIFA World Cup(TM). All submissions were evaluated by the "SuperSong" judging team, who narrowed the songs down to their top 20. Online fans and a panel of experts from Sony Music Entertainment then voted for their favorite songs to select the finalists. Martin and the "SuperSong" judging team announced the ultimate winner, 'Vida,' by Elijah King.

Following the world premiere on Crackle, both the 'Vida' single and its accompanying music video will be available for download on iTunes beginning April 22. 'Vida' will also be featured in One Love, One Rythym - The 2014 FIFA World CupTM Official Album.

As an official FIFA Partner in the "Digital Life" category, Sony and companies from across the Sony Group, including Sony Music Entertainment, Sony Pictures Television and Sony Mobile Communications, collaborated as 'One Sony' on "SuperSong" to bring music fans the opportunity of a lifetime.

The "SuperSong" special is produced by Embassy Row for Sony Pictures Television Networks.

ABOUT RICKY MARTIN

Both a GRAMMY and multiple LATIN GRAMMY winner, Ricky Martin is the leading Latin Music figure of his generation - beloved by fans worldwide for his instinctive understanding of rhythm, passion for performing, and equal compassion for giving. Declared "an international pop icon and Latin Music's Global Ambassador" by Billboard and recognized by the Latin Recording Academy as it's youngest "Person of the Year" honoree, Ricky Martin has now sold over 70+ million albums and continues to perform to sold-out stadiums and arena audiences throughout the world.

ABOUT SALAAM REMI

Born in Queens, New York into a profoundly musical family, Salaam Remi Gibbs has produced songs for The Fugees, NAS, Wyclef Jean, Toni Braxton, Santana, Sade, Sting (feat. Mary J. Blige), Lauryn Hill, Alicia Keys, Usher, Miguel, Jazmine Sullivan and Amy Winehouse to name a few - sonic creations that have helped sell millions of records - domestically and internationally. He has a very particular style, without a signature sound in his music. Salaam is always trying to find the sound of the artist and prefers to custom-make songs. When you listen to NAS, Winehouse, or The Fugees, you hear them and not think 'Oh that's a Salaam track.' It preserves the integrity of the artists' vision and keeps him from sounding predictable.

ABOUT ELIJAH KING

Elijah King was born in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. He currently lives in Miami where he works as singer and producer. His mother said he has been singing melodies since before he could speak. When King was a kid, he used to dub vocals for Barney the purple dinosaur. Elijah started playing drums in the children's church band at the tender age of 10, and that's where it all started for him to become a music artist. Success for him is seeing his music reach the masses and leave a mark in this generation. His big dream is to change lives doing what he loves.
