ASTRONAUT WIVES CLUB, THE (ABC/ABC Studios; W: Stephanie Savage; D: Nick Cassavetes) - Joel Johnstone ("The Newsroom") is the latest to board the drama, which tells the true story of the women behind NASA's early astronauts and the struggles they face when their lives and families are catapulted into the spotlight overnight. He's set as Gus Grissom, "an average student and athlete who may be the least likely astronaut but proves himself to be one of NASA's top men." Aaron McCusker, Azure Parsons, Bret Harrison, Desmond Harrington, Dominique McElligott, Erin Cummings, JoAnna Garcia Swisher, Odette Annable and Zoe Boyle also star. (Deadline.com)


NAZARETH (FOX, New!) - Feature writer David Franzoni (Gladiator) is developing an event series at the network tracking the formative years of Jesus of Nazareth. Said effort is set up at FX Productions with Landscape Entertainment's Bob Cooper and Eleven Films' Jamie Campbell and Joel Wilson executive producing alongside Franzoni.
