DOPE (Showtime, New!) - David Hollander ("Ray Donovan") is developing a potential drama at the pay channel about "the business of performance-enhancing drugs for athletes and the doctor who popularized it in South Florida." Michael Costigan (Prometheus) will also serve as an executive producer on the hour with journalists Tim Elfrink and Gus Garcia-Roberts, both of whom have extensively covered the topic, as consultants. AND IN OTHER NEWS... - OWN has put its planned docu-series about Michael Sam, the first openly gay football player to be drafted into the NFL, on hold (Deadline.com); "NCIS" co-star Michael Weatherly has finalized a new two-year deal with CBS Television Studios to continue with the series as well as developing new series projects via his Solar Drive Productions banner (Deadline.com); "Nashville" will continue to film in its namesake after receiving a combined $8 million incentive package from the state of Tennessee, down from $13.25 million last season (Deadline.com); and Michael Malarkey's Enzo has been upped to series regular for season six of "The Vampire Diaries" (EW.com).
