2014 NCAA Division I Men's Lacrosse Championship Semifinals Set
The 2014 season will culminate with the National Championship Monday at 1 p.m. on ESPN2 and WatchESPN.

2014 NCAA Division I Men's Lacrosse Championship Semifinals Set

National Championship Game Live on ESPN2 & WatchESPN on Monday, May 26, at 1 p.m.

Top-seeded Duke leads the field for the NCAA Men's Lacrosse Championship Presented by Northwestern Mutual - set to air on ESPN networks Saturday, May 24 and Monday, May 26, from M&T Stadium in Baltimore. The semifinals will be shown on ESPN2 and WatchESPN as No. 1 seed Duke faces No. 5 Denver at 1 p.m. ET, followed by No. 6 seed Notre Dame vs. No. 7 Maryland at 3:30 p.m. The 2014 season will culminate with the National Championship Monday at 1 p.m. on ESPN2 and WatchESPN

The National Championship will also air on ESPNU via the Spider Cam feed - an alternate viewing fan experience that is integrated into the traditional telecast.

ESPN has covered 31 NCAA Men's Lacrosse Championships since 1980 and 2014 marks the 20th consecutive year of televising the championship weekend games.

Game Features

· Continuation of the postseason theme "Band Together or Go Home", which focuses on the bonds a team develops throughout a season and its importance to their success, particularly in the tournament.

· ESPN Front Row took an inside look at the SC Featured piece on Albany's Thompson Trio (http://bit.ly/AlbanyLAX) that will air beginning on Sunday's 10 a.m. edition of SportsCenter and former Virginia men's lacrosse player Jay Jalbert's open for ESPN's NCAA Championship coverage (http://bit.ly/1lQMRCq).

· A wireless radio frequency camera will be mounted in the goals to provide a unique perspective from behind the goaltender.

· Microphones will be worn by all three game officials during the semifinals and championship, providing on-field dialogue throughout the telecast with periodic switches to each official.

· Additional microphones will be mounted on the goals and on-field audio will also be present.

· The telecast will use 13 cameras, including the Spider Cam and the High Speed Nac Camera (SSMO).

· Stories ESPN will be tracking include: Denver coach Bill Tierney has amassed an impressive resume in his 27 years of coaching and has the Pioneers sporting the No. 3 defense in the nation; Duke has the No. 2 offense nationally and is powered by Myles Jones; Notre Dame is playing well down the stretch and is driven by Matt Kavanagh; and Maryland's Mike Chanenhuk is the team leader.

Commentators

ESPN's top lacrosse commentating team will again be in position for championship weekend.

· Play-by-play voice Eamon McAnaney will lead the booth.

· Joining McAnaney is analyst Quint Kessenich and sideline reporter/analyst Paul Carcaterra. During their college careers, Kessenich (Johns Hopkins) and Carcaterra (Syracuse) both played in four NCAA Championships and each won a national title with their respective teams.

Studio

· Host Anish Shroff and analyst Ryan Flanagan will cover the National Semifinals from ESPNU's Charlotte, N.C., headquarters.

· Shroff will be joined by analyst Ryan Boyle on-site at M&T Stadium for the National Championship on Memorial Day with pregame and halftime reports.

· In addition, Shroff and Boyle will anchor the NCAA Lacrosse Championship Post Game Show on ESPNU and WatchESPN, immediately following the title game, which will include game reaction, postgame celebration, trophy presentation and net cutting.

· Scott Marr, who just completed his 14th-year as Albany head coach, will join Shroff and Flanagan in studio for the coverage of the semifinals.

ESPN Digital

· The National Semifinals and Final will be shown on WatchESPN.

· ESPN.com's Eamonn Brennan will have all the weekend's coverage from M&T Stadium.

ESPN International

· ESPN2 Australia will televise both semifinals and the championship game on a same-day delay.

· ESPN Caribbean will televise the championship game on a same-day delay.

· ESPN Latin America, ESPN Brazil and ESPN-UK will show the championship game on a delay.
