OVATION TO PREMIERE "A YOUNG DOCTOR'S NOTEBOOK & OTHER STORIES" STARRING JON HAMM AND DANIEL RADCLIFFE

Season Two of the Critically-Acclaimed Dark Comedy Debuts August 19, only on Ovation

SANTA MONICA, CA - June 19, 2014 - Jon Hamm (Million Dollar Arm, Mad Men) and Daniel Radcliffe (Kill Your Darlings, Harry Potter film series), television's most unlikely alter egos, are back with A Young Doctor's Notebook & Other Stories, premiering Tuesday, August 19 at 10:00 p.m. ET on Ovation, America's only arts network.

Season two of this darkly humorous series continues with more tales inspired by renowned Russian writer and playwright Mikhail Bulgakov. Adapted for television by writers Mark Chappell, Shaun Pye and Alan Connor, this new season finds our protagonist young doctor (Radcliffe) in evermore challenging predicaments - emotionally and physically.

"Bulgakov's writing has a special quality and tone that really resonated with all of us on the cast and crew," said Hamm. "It's so unique that we all were eager to come back for a second season that would further explore the character dynamics and pathos of this time and place. It's fortunate that we have found such a supportive and enthusiastic US broadcast partner in Ovation to showcase this one-of-a-kind series."

"Like the brilliant and mad source material, the characters are what makes this series as complex, funny and human as the first," said Radcliffe. "I hope Ovation viewers will love this series as much as we loved making it."

The US premiere of season two kicks off on Ovation Tuesday, August 19 at 10:00 p.m. ET and will continue on consecutive Tuesdays nights thereafter: August 26, September 2 and September 9. In addition, season one will re-air beginning on August 7, while a VOD sneak peek of season two will be available starting on August 12.
