POWER HOUSE TUMBLERS, CORNELL BHANGRA AND DOMINO EFFECT NAMED FINALISTS FOR "TODAY'S GOT TALENT" CONTEST

"America's Got Talent," "TODAY" Join Forces to Find Best Acts for Chance to Compete for $1 Million Prize on Live "AGT" Shows

NEW YORK - July 22, 2014 - After receiving thousands of submissions from across the country, the summer's No. 1 show, "America's Got Talent," and "TODAY" have selected the top three acts to compete for the final spot in the "AGT" live shows.

Fans can tune in to watch the three acts perform live on the "TODAY" Plaza this Wednesday and vote for their favorite on www.TODAY.com/agt. Voting will be open through noon ET on Tuesday, July 29. The winner will go straight to the live shows at Radio City Music Hall as part of the Top 48, and vie for America's vote to win the $1 million prize.

The "America's Got Talent" live shows kick off at historic Radio City Music Hall on Tuesday, July 29 at 9 p.m. ET/PT with host Nick Cannon and celebrity judges Howie Mandel, Mel B, Heidi Klum and Howard Stern. "TODAY" anchors Matt Lauer and Savannah Guthrie will announce the winning act on stage during the July 30 "AGT" live results show.

Led by coach Fredrick James Gause, the Power House Tumblers are an elite tumbling ministry based out of Wilmington, N.C. The group has been tumbling since 1985, and have participated in various events such as the AAU Junior Olympics, multiple NBA halftime shows and annual festivals in their hometown. The group participates in ministry work in North Carolina and helps to empower and lead young men and women.

Founded in 1997, Cornell Bhangra has grown to become one of the most well-known Bhangra dance teams worldwide and back-to-back champions of the World's Best Bhangra Competition. The team consists of Cornell University students from all different backgrounds majoring in fields such engineering, economics, biology, chemistry, dance studies and hotel administration. While they all have different academic interests, their passion for Bhangra unites the group.

Middle and high school students Lily Hevesh, Nathan Heck, Chris Wright and Joe Parks are domino artists who connected through their YouTube videos on the web to form Domino Effect. In addition to the classic "matching dots" game, dominos can be built in a way to form words, pictures, 3D structures, pyramids, portraits, and more. The students use coordination, artistic creativity, and an understanding of physics, gravity, velocity and mechanics to develop large-scale domino tricks.

"America's Got Talent" is the summer's #1 reality series on the Big 4 networks in every key measure - adults, men and women 18-49, 18-34 and 25-54, as well as total viewers - plus kids 2-11 and teens 12-17. The first five regular "Talent" originals that have aired thus far have delivered the summer's top five results among all primetime entertainment telecasts on the Big 4 networks so far this summer in both 18-49 and total viewers, beating every episode of every entertainment series on ABC, CBS and Fox in "plus same day" results.

"America's Got Talent" is produced by Simon Cowell's Syco Entertainment and FremantleMedia North America. Simon Cowell, Jason Raff, Sam Donnelly, Trish Kinane and Richard Wallace are the executive producers. Please visit the official show site at: http://www.nbc.com/americas-got-talent
