LOS ANGELES - First Lady Michelle Obama discusses the importance of kids staying active and eating healthy every day as part of her Let's Move! Initiative in the season finale of "Kid President: Declaration of Awesome," airing Saturday, August 9 at 7 p.m. ET/ 4 p.m. PT on the Hub Network, champions of family fun and the only network dedicated to providing kids and their families entertainment they can watch together. The episode, "Kid President Made an Episode About What the Kids Need to Know," also includes celebrity appearances by actress Christina Applegate ("Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues"), comedian/musician Reggie Watts ("Simplified"), actress/writer Carrie Brownstein ("Portlandia") and the PS22 Chorus from New York.

Also on his quest to discover "what the kids need to know," the episode features Christina Applegate helping Kid President understand the value of being true to himself. Kid President has "can phone" interviews with Reggie Watts and Carrie Brownstein who give kids some advice. In his finale pep talk, the PS22 Chorus sings an inspirational jam while Kid President helps build a playground for kids in need.

The series is executive produced by actor Rainn Wilson ("The Office") and Novak's brother-in-law and show creator, Brad Montague, for SoulPancake Television, LLC. The season has featured interactions between Kid President and a variety of guest stars, including Kevin Costner ("Draft Day"), Gene Simmons (KISS), Jamie Foxx ("The Amazing Spiderman 2"), Craig Robinson ("Get On Up"), Mario Lopez (Host, "Extra"), 'Weird Al' Yankovic (Musician), musical group "A Great Big World" and more.

The docu-variety series reflects the universal values of kids and families across the country as seen through the lens of Kid President, whose playful spirit and positive approach to life inspires viewers to change this world for the better.
