BRAVO MEDIA AND UNIVERSAL CABLE PRODUCTIONS ANNOUNCE ADDITIONAL CASTING FOR "GIRLFRIENDS' GUIDE TO DIVORCE"

Alanna Ubach Joins Cast; Matthew Glave and Virginia Williams Land Recurring Roles

NEW YORK - August 13, 2014 -- Bravo Media and Universal Cable Productions (UCP) announce additional casting for "Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce," premiering Tuesday, December 2 at 10p.m. ET/PT on Bravo. Alanna Ubach ("Meet the Fockers") joins the cast as Jo, a blunt, brassy New Yorker and Abby's best friend from college who comes to LA to help Abby (Lisa Edelstein, "House") through her divorce. In addition, Matthew Glave ("Growing Up Fisher") and Virginia Williams ("Fairly Legal") will recur as Gordon and Courtney Beech, a high-profile fashion couple currently going through a divorce handled by Delia (Necar Zadegan, "Emily Owens, MD").

Ubach made her mark in the industry playing the family housekeeper in "Meet the Fockers" and a sorority sister in "Legally Blonde." Over the years, she has played and voiced numerous characters. Most recently, Ubach starred in "See Dad Run" and can also be seen in the upcoming series "Things You Shouldn't Say Past Midnight." Her additional television credits include "Hung," "Men of a Certain Age," "Californication" and "Always Sunny in Philadelphia." An indie film darling, she has starred in films "Being Us," "Denise Calls Up," "Freeway," "Clockwatchers" and "Johns." Ubach also wrote and starred in the one-woman Off-Broadway show "Patriotic Bitch."

Glave has appeared in numerous roles across television, film and the stage. Most recently, he played a recurring role in "Growing Up Fisher." His additional television credits include "Mad Men," "Hawaii Five-O," "Shameless," "Perception," "Suits," "Revenge," "Desperate Housewives," "Life on a Stick," "Army Wives," and "ER," among many others. On the silver screen, Glave can be seen in "Argo," "Get Smart," "House Broken," "The Wedding Singer" and "Rock Star."

Williams has appeared in over 30 television series but is best known for her roles on "Fairly Legal," "Monarch Cove," "How I Met Your Mother" and "Strangers with Candy." Most recently, she recurred on "Bad Teacher" and "Drop Dead Diva" and has held leading roles in TV Movies "Reading Writing & Romance," "Revenge of the Bridesmaids" and "Honeymoon with Mom." Williams can next be seen in the thriller "The Culling." She began her career while in high school, starring for two years on the soap operas "One Life to Live" and "As the World Turns."

Bravo's first original scripted series, "Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce," follows Abby, a self-help book author and guru of all things family who shocks the world when she reveals that her seemingly perfect life has been a lie. After publicly admitting that she has separated from her husband, Jake (Paul Adelstein, "Private Practice"), America's once-favorite girlfriend finds her career and marriage in a free fall. As she starts to navigate life as a single woman in her 40s, Abby turns to her new divorced friends including Lyla (Janeane Garofalo, "Reality Bites") and Phoebe (Beau Garrett, "Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior") for advice. Meanwhile, a rival attorney at Lyla's firm, Delia is hired as Abby's divorce attorney. Laverne Cox ("Orange is the New Black") and Tony Award winning actress Bernadette Peters will guest star in season one. The series is inspired by the "Girlfriends' Guide" books by Vicki Iovine. Marti Noxon, Vicki Iovine, Meryl Poster, Robert Duncan McNeill, and Liz Kruger and Craig Shapiro serve as Executive Producers.
