EPIX Kicks Off the Fall Season with a Series of Blockbuster Premieres

Featuring Hilarious Comedies, Engaging Dramas and Chilling Thrillers

Highlights Include Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, The Wolf of Wall Street and Labor Day

New York, NY August 18, 2014 - Premium entertainment network EPIX celebrates the start of the fall season with all-new movie premieres that take place in the newsroom, the boardroom, a supernatural battleground and beyond. Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, The Wolf of Wall Street, Labor Day, Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones and I, Frankenstein will all debut on EPIX in September.

The laughs begin with San Diego's top-rated newsman, Ron Burgundy (Will Ferrell) seeking redemption after being replaced as full-time lead anchor by his wife, Veronica Corningstone (Christina Applegate). Will Ron and his news team be able to transform the world's first 24-hour round-the-clock news channel? Find out when Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues premieres on EPIX on Sunday, September 7, at 8:00PM ET.

In The Wolf of Wall Street, which premieres on Sunday, September 14, at 10:00PM ET, Leonardo DiCaprio plays Jordan Belfort, a Long Island penny stockbroker who served 36 months in prison for defrauding investors in a massive 1990s securities scam, which involved widespread corruption both on Wall Street and in the corporate banking world.

The chills arrive on Sunday, September 21, at 8:00PM ET, when Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones premieres. In this fifth installment of the hit horror franchise, a young California man is targeted for possession by the same malevolent demon that previously claimed sisters Katie and Kristi from the first Paranormal Activity films.

EPIX introduces I, Frankenstein, starring Aaron Eckhart, on Saturday, September 27 at 8:00PM ET. Written and directed by Stuart Beattie and based on the graphic novel by Kevin Grevioux, this fantasy action film features vigilant gargoyles and ferocious demons in a battle for ultimate power, and Victor Frankenstein's creation, Adam (Aaron Eckhart), finds himself caught in the middle as both sides race to discover the secret to his immortality.

September winds down as it began, with Labor Day, which makes its EPIX premiere on Sunday, September 28, at 8:00PM ET. The romantic drama stars Kate Winslet as a divorced mother who, along with her 13-year-old son, is taken hostage by an escaped convict (played by Josh Brolin), an event that alters their lives forever.
