Four Wild Card Acts Return to the Competition for the Semi-Finals Beginning Aug. 26

NEW YORK - August 21, 2014 - "America's Got Talent" kicks into high gear as the first week of semi-finals begin, featuring a performance by the chart-topping, double-platinum selling recording artist, Ariana Grande. Grande will perform "Break Free," the latest single from her sophomore album "My Everything" during the live results show on Aug. 27 (9-10 p.m. ET).

Grande's magnetic charm, impressive voice, and astounding presence have enchanted millions of fans worldwide. Her first full-length album for Republic Records, "Yours Truly" debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top 200, Billboard Digital Albums chart, and iTunes Overall Albums chart. It yielded one of 2013's most defining songs, "The Way" featuring Mac Miller, which went double-platinum. Shortly after, she was named "Best New Artist" at the 2013 American Music Awards. The first single from her sophomore album, "Problem" featuring Iggy Azalea, saw her become the youngest woman to debut with over 400K sold in the first-week. In addition to ranking as the 4th highest digital song debut for a female artist and 8th highest ever, the platinum smash debuted at #1 in 65 countries, topping the iTunes overall Top Songs and Pop Songs charts for four weeks. As the semi-final round of "AGT" begins, four previously eliminated acts will rejoin the competition as the Judges' Wild Card choice and have a second chance at winning the $1 million prize. The Wild Card semi-finalists are: Bad Boys of Ballet (Mel B), Flight Crew Jump Rope (Heidi Klum), Mike Super (Howie Mandel) and Wendy Liebman (Howard Stern).

The first semi-final round of "America's Got Talent" takes place on Tuesday, Aug. 26 (9-11 p.m. ET), when twelve of the Top 24 acts will perform live for America's vote. This week, America chose Emil & Dariel, Jonah Smith, Kelli Glover, Quintavious Johnson and Smoothini to move on to the semi-finals to compete against AcroArmy, Aerial Animation, Andrey Moraru, Bad Boys of Ballet, Baila Conmigo, Blue Journey, Christian Stoinev, Dan Naturman, David and Leeman, Emily West, Flight Crew Jump Rope, Jaycob Curlee, Mara Justine, Matt Franco, Miguel Dakota, Mike Super, Paul Ieti, Sons of Serendip and Wendy Liebman.
