Celebrity Actors China Anne McClain, Sean Giambrone, Mason Cook, Luke Benward, Nolan Gould, Joey King, Freya Tingley and Margot Kidder To Star in Episodes of the Spooky Anthology Series

LOS ANGELES - "R.L. Stine's The Haunting Hour: The Series," the Hub Network's hit, spooky anthology series, inspired by the master of kids' horror R.L. Stine ("Goosebumps"), returns Saturday, October 4 at 4 p.m. ET/1 p.m. PT with several stand-out guest stars. The all-star list includes China Anne McClain ("A.N.T. Farm," "Sing Your Face Off"), Sean Giambrone ("The Goldbergs"), Mason Cook ("The Lone Ranger," "Legends"), Luke Benward ("Cloud 9," "Ravenswood"), Nolan Gould ("Modern Family"), Joey King ("OZ the Great and Powerful," "Fargo"), Freya Tingley ("Hemlock Grove," "Once Upon a Time") and acclaimed actress Margot Kidder ("Superman"). The fourth season of the half-hour series will introduce a new set of spine-chilling thrills taking viewers young and old on a creepy new adventure every week on the Hub Network, champions of family fun and the only network dedicated to providing kids and their families entertainment they can watch together.

The fright-fest kicks off with two episodes airing back-to-back featuring Sean Giambrone and Mason Cook. In the episode "I'm Not Martin" airing at 4 p.m. ET/1 p.m. PT, Giambrone stars as "Sean," a hospital patient set to get his tonsils removed, but fears the cursed hospital may have other plans that include amputating his foot. This episode is based on the short story of the same name written by R.L. Stine.

Followed by that is "Grandpa's Glasses" at 4:30 p.m. ET/1:30 p.m. PT featuring Mason Cook as "Bo," a curious boy who accompanies his mother to his deceased grandfather's home. After trying on his grandfather's glasses, he realizes they may not be alone in the house as a sinister spirit seems to be lurking about.

Stine's The Haunting Hour: The Series," winner of the 2013 and 2014 Daytime Emmy(R) Award for Outstanding Children's Series, is produced by Front Street Pictures in association with The Hatchery, LLC. with Dan Angel ("Goosebumps"), Billy Brown ("X-Files"), Harvey Kahn ("We Don't Live Here Anymore") and Kim Arnott ("The Debaters") serving as executive producers.

Guest Star Bios:

China Anne McClain is an actress and singer whose starring roles include the Disney Channel Original Movie "How to Build a Better Boy," the Disney series "A.N.T. Farm," for which she won an NAACP Image Award, ABC's reality singing competition "Sing Your Face Off," which she won, and Tyler Perry's "House of Payne." She also sings in a pop girl group with her sisters called McCLAIN. (Episode airs November 8, 2014)

Sean Giambrone currently stars as the youngest family member on ABC's sitcom "The Goldbergs." He is also a series regular on Cartoon Network's animated series "Clarence" and will soon be voicing the lead character in the upcoming film "Russell Mania." (Episode airs October 4, 2014)

Mason Cook is a series regular on TNT's new hit drama "Legends" and recurs on ABC's sitcom "The Goldbergs." In 2012, he starred as Eddie Munster in NBC's Halloween special "Mockingbird Lane." His feature film credits include supporting roles in "The Lone Ranger" and "The Incredible Burt Wonderstone" and a starring role in "Spy Kids 4." (Episode airs October 4, 2014)

Luke Benward recently starred in the hit Disney Channel Original Movie "Cloud 9" and recently recurred on the ABC Family drama series "Ravenswood." He can next be seen leading the cast in the Civil War motion picture "Field of Lost Shoes." His past credits include lead and supporting roles in such movies as "How to Eat Fried Worms," "Minutemen," "Girl vs. Monster," "We Were Soldiers" and "Dear John." He also recently recurred on the Disney series "Good Luck Charlie." (Episode airs November 1, 2014)

Nolan Gould is best known for playing Luke Dunphy in the Emmy(R) Award-winning series "Modern Family." He has previously guest starred on the Hub Network's "R.L. Stine's The Haunting Hour: The Series" and Disney's "Good Luck Charlie," and has had roles in such films as "Field of Lost Shoes," "The To-Do List" and "Friends with Benefits." (Episode airs November 15, 2014)

Joey King was recently seen in the series "Fargo" on FX, as well as the films "Wish I Was Here," "OZ the Great and Powerful" as the China Girl, "White House Down," "The Conjuring" and "The Dark Knight Rises." Her past film roles include starring as Ramona in "Ramona and Beezus," "Crazy Stupid Love" and "Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs." She was also a series regular on NBC's "Bent" and guest starred on the Hub Network's "R.L. Stine's The Haunting Hour: The Series." (Episode airs November 29, 2014)

Freya Tingley recently starred on "Hemlock Grove" on Netflix and had a recurring role as Wendy Darling on ABC's "Once Upon a Time." In 2014, she played Frankie Valli's daughter Francine in "Jersey Boys" and was the lead in the Lifetime television movie "The Choking Game." (Episode airs October 25, 2014)

Margot Kidder is an acclaimed film actress best known for playing Lois Lane in the "Superman" movies of the 1970s and 1980s. She has also starred in the films "The Amityville Horror," "Willie and Phil," "Some Kind of Hero" and "The Great Waldo Pepper." Kidder recently guest starred on the television series "Smallville" and "Brothers and Sisters." (Episode airs October 18, 2014)
