FOX Sports Specials Featured on Single-Header Sundays, Thanksgiving

FOX Lineup Includes The Ultimate Fighter, IMSA, Supercross, Nicklaus Documentary, Skateboarding, Formula E, College Football Championship and NASCAR Previews

FOX Sports announces an expanded series of multi-sport afternoon specials scheduled adjacent to NFL ON FOX single-header football games across the remainder of the fall broadcast season, leading off with an airing of the season premiere of the popular UFC reality series, THE ULTIMATE FIGHTER: A CHAMPION WILL BE CROWNED, on Sunday, Sept. 14.

For the first time in history, THE ULTIMATE FIGHTER features an all-female cast with a UFC championship on the line. UFC lightweight champion Anthony Pettis and No. 1-ranked lightweight contender, Gilbert Melendez, serve as coaches. The full 12-episode season airs Wednesday nights on FOX Sports 1 beginning with a two-hour special on Wednesday, Sept. 10 (10:00 PM ET). On Sunday, Oct. 26, MONSTER ENERGY SUPERCROSS takes center stage on FOX, as the fourth annual MONSTER ENERGY CUP lights up Las Vegas' Sam Boyd Stadium on a uniquely designed supercross/motocross hybrid track. The STREET LEAGUE SKATEBOARDING SUPER CROWN CHAMPIONSHIP from the Prudential Center in New Jersey airs on FOX on Sunday, Nov. 2, bringing skateboarding's most prestigious professional competitive series and an international roster of skating's top pros from the SLS Nike SB World Tour to the network. The SLS Nike SB Super Crown World Championship features the top eight pros, who qualified through a summer-long tour, competing for the largest prize purse in skate history - more than $1 million. On Sunday, Nov. 23, FOX highlights the inaugural season of the ground-breaking FIA FORMULA E CHAMPIONSHIP with race coverage from Putrajaya, Mexico. FORMULA E is a new FIA single-seater championship and the world's first fully-electric racing series. Commencing in September 2014 and running through June 2015, the championship competes in the heart of 10 of the world's leading cities - including London, Beijing, Los Angeles and Miami - racing around iconic landmarks. With the U.S. OPEN headlining the USGA's move to FOX in 2015, a Thanksgiving Day treat is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 27 on FOX when 1962 U.S. OPEN: JACK'S FIRST MAJOR premieres as the first-ever USGA-produced documentary on network television. The one-hour program chronicles Jack Nicklaus' first U.S. OPEN victory in 1962 at Oakmont Country Club, which set in motion one of the most prolific careers in professional golf and at the same time ignited one of the greatest rivalries in sports, between Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer. On Sunday, Nov. 30, the FOX Sports College Football team delivers the 2014 COLLEGE CHAMPIONSHIP PREVIEW, a one-hour special leading with coverage of the BIG TEN and PAC-12 CHAMPIONSHIP games, and offering insight into the entire postseason.
