Michael Davies and Roger Bennett Host Sub-Optimal Weekly Show Mondays During Premier League Season on NBCSN

STAMFORD, Conn. - September 17, 2014 - THE MEN IN BLAZERS SHOW, featuring popular soccer personalities Michael Davies and Roger Bennett, will debut their new television program on NBCSN this Monday, September 22 at 10 p.m. ET.

NBCSN will present the new 30-minute show -- set at the Men in Blazers "studio" in SoHo in New York City -- each Monday night at 10 p.m. ET during the Premier League season, with an encore at midnight ET. The new show will also stream live on NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports Live Extra app.

"We are aiming to make the least technically ambitious show in the history of television," Michael Davies said. "One camera. One guest. Two bald blokes. We may or may not have clips."

"We are honored to have the chance to commune with Americans about football on such a sacred day," Roger Bennett added. "As the saying goes, 'Week after week, it's the time that is right. All my rowdy friends are here on Monday night.'"

THE MEN IN BLAZERS SHOW on NBCSN follows NBC Sports Group's weekend Premier League coverage, allowing Davies and Bennett to break down all of the action for American soccer fans.

The show compliments Men in Blazers' special, digital-only weekly podcast on NBCSports.com each Tuesday. The podcast hit the No. 1 overall spot on iTunes' podcast chart at the start of the Premier League season and is regularly among the top podcasts in the Sports & Recreation category. Weekly digital-only Men in Blazers' previews of the upcoming Premier League matches will be released each Friday.

Highlights from the weekly show and their full podcasts will be available on NBCSports.com. The videos will be distributed on the web and via mobile devices through ProSoccerTalk, and various content alliance partners.

In addition to their weekly podcast on NBCSports.com, Davies and Bennett kicked off the Premier League season by making an appearance on NBCSN's Goal Zone last month. Their show, which has hosted guests including Drake, Billy Beane, and Dirk Nowitzki, is a passionate, wide-ranging conversation about football and life, with a particular focus on the Premier League and the U.S. Men's National Team.

All Men in Blazers content will be produced at Embassy Row, a division of Sony Pictures Entertainment, where Michael Davies continues to serve as president.
