GO JERROD GO (NBC/Universal; W: Jerrod Carmichael & Nick Stoller; D: Scott Ellis) - David Alan Grier has been cast in the comedy pilot, about a young couple, Jerrod (Jerrod Carmichael) and Maxine (Amber West), who decide to move in together, but when it comes time to tell Jerrod's parents, he finds every reason in the world to hold off on breaking the news to them. He'll play Jerrod's father alongside the previously cast Loretta Devine as his mother. (Deadline.com)


AND IN OTHER NEWS... - Amazon Studios has rescinded its series order for the Chris Carter drama "The After" (Variety.com); Paul Rudd will reprise his role of Sweetums heir Bobby Newport in two episodes during the final season of "Parks & Recreation" (EW.com); Michael Imperioli will visit "Hawaii Five-0" as "a reformed criminal with a passion for surfing" (EW.com); The Weinstein Company and American Media Inc. are developing a live, daily syndicated show based on the latter's gossip website Radar Online (Deadline.com);

Mark Gordon is parting ways with ABC Studios, selling a 51% stake of his The Mark Gordon Co. to eOne (Deadline.com); Don Scardino has inked a two-year overall deal with CBS Television Studios (THR.com); Elena Satine's Louise Ellis has been upped to series regular on "Revenge" (THR.com); Gina Gershon has been cast as Blaine's (Darren Criss) mother on "Glee" (TVLine.com); and Bruce Nozick will recur on "The Last Ship" as "a virologist and genetic engineer, who is rescued and joins the crew of Nathan James to assist their medical staff" (Deadline.com, 12/31).
