From the origins of time, our world has been fascinated with dragons - ferocious, snake-like beasts with fiery tongues and powerful wings. This mythical monster appears all over the world, from Harry Potter novels and the Chinese New Year, to collegiate mascots and role-play board games. But what if these dragons were more than just legend? Watch dragons come to life in Discovery Family Channel's DRAGONS: A FANTASY MADE REAL, a two-hour special that imagines what the world would be like if dragons did exist. Using stunning computer-generated imagery, along with true-biological science, viewers are given an exclusive look into dragons inside and out. Imagining everything from the different species of dragons, to their physical adaptations and behaviors, DRAGONS: A FANTASY MADE REAL tells the story of one of humankind's oldest legends this Sunday, January 25 at 9/8c on Discovery Family Channel.
In this special, a team of fictional scientists are stunned when they discover a preserved dragon carcass hidden deep in a glacial ice cave in Romania. Using breath-taking CGI footage and top-notch special effects, DRAGONS: A FANTASY MADE REAL follows the scientists as they autopsy the body and gain incredible insight into the life of the dragon. Through the scientist's forensic investigations, the drama that unfolded centuries ago comes to life, and the dragon legends told through human history take on new meaning.
