TEEN ICON ZENDAYA TAPPED AS HOST OF 2015 RADIO DISNEY MUSIC AWARDS

Multi-talented actress and recording artist Zendaya will serve as host of the 2015 Radio Disney Music Awards (RDMA), music's biggest event for families, taking place SATURDAY, APRIL 25 at Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE in Los Angeles. It was announced today by Phil Guerini, Vice President, Programming and General Manager, Radio Disney.

Guerini said, "On stage and off, Zendaya brings intelligence, thoughtfulness and honesty - and an effortless cool factor - to everything she does, all qualities that are appreciated by generations of kids and tweens, and especially their parents. We join her legion of fans in welcoming her back to the RDMA stage."

"We're going to have a great show... a lot of fun and get to watch amazing performances, so I'm very, very excited," Zendaya said about being named this year's host. "Plus, I'm nominated again for artist with the best style (You're So Fancy! - Artist With The Best Style), so I better wear a good outfit!"

Already an RDMA winner, Zendaya won the "You've Got Swag! - Artist With the Best Style" award at the 2014 RDMAs. She currently stars in Disney Channel's hit series "K.C. Her 2013 self-titled debut album on Hollywood Records yielded the platinum single "Replay" and earned her the 2014 BMI Social Star Award, as well as an NAACP Image Award nomination for Outstanding New Artist. Zendaya was recently chosen as a member of People Magazine's StyleWatch Celeb Style Council. Additionally, Zendaya captured the hearts of audiences when she danced her way to the finals in season 16 of ABC's "Dancing with the Stars." She also starred in Disney Channel's global hit comedy "Shake It Up," for which she received multiple NAACP Image Awards nominations.

Zendaya's Radio Disney Take Over, where she gets behind the boards to answer listener calls and play her favorite songs, airs today, March 26 (5:00 p.m. ET / 2:00 p.m. PT).
