UNDERGROUND (WGN America/Sony; W: Joe Pokaski & Misha Green; D: Anthony Hemingway) - Devon Gummersall and Mykelti Williamson have both been cast in the period drama, set in the pre-Civil War South and following the slaves who set foot on the fabled Underground Railroad, the secret network of men and women who risked their lives aiding them, and the mercenaries tasked with hunting them down at any cost. The former will play John Hawkes, "a lawyer and abolitionist who is trying to reconcile the way things are with the way things should be"; with the latter as Moses, "a fiery preacher for the slaves on the plantation who decides to take his family on the run." Alano Miller, Christopher Meloni, Jurnee Smollett-Bell, Aldis Hodge and Jessica De Gouw also star. (Deadline.com)
