ABC FAMILY TO RELAUNCH ITS WATCH ABC FAMILY APP SUMMER 2015

Updates to Include an Enhanced Social Media Integration and Reimagined Live Viewing Experience

New York, NY (April 14, 2015) - Tom Ascheim, President, ABC Family, will announce at its network upfront today in New York, that it will launch the next generation of its popular WATCH ABC Family app this summer. With an updated look, feel and user experience, the new app will further blend dynamic content with social functionality that is innate to ABC Family's "Becomer" audience.

"Our audience is comprised of mobile natives," said Ascheim. "They live in a digital world and have the expectation that their shows will be available to them on whatever device they are on. The WATCH ABC Family app delivers on that expectation. Our next generation will put the social tools our audience loves next to the shows they want to talk about."

New features will include:

· An enhanced video player bringing flexibility to the viewing experience. Users can browse the app in portrait mode while their content plays, or rotate their screen to view full-screen mode.

· Curated photo and video feeds for every episode, featuring our most popular posts from Instagram, Twitter and other social platforms.

· A new interactive program guide that will enable viewers watching the network's live stream to explore the rest of the app's content.

· The ability to personalize the viewing experience by "favoriting" a show, which allows those super fans first access to content.

· Official curated clips and insider content expanding ABC Family's digital footprint tuned for mobile and social.

The WATCH ABC Family service makes it possible for fans who verify with a participating TV provider to watch a live feed of the network and the most recent episodes of their favorite ABC Family shows on demand anytime, anywhere via desktops, smartphones and tablets. The app is available for free in the App Store, Google Play,and Amazon Appstore.
