PEOPLE UNDER THE STAIRS, THE (Syfy, New!) - Horror filmmaker Wes Craven is developing a pair of projects for the cable channel via a new first-look deal with Universal Cable Productions. First up is a small screen take on his 1991 feature about "a young woman goes missing at the grand Robeson Family Manor and her search unveils the centuries-old horrors that lie deep within the estate." Michael Reisz is penning the script and will executive produce alongside Craven, Alive Productions' Shep Gordon and Industry Entertainment's Tracey Murray and Sara Bottfeld. (Deadline.com)

She'll play Sabrina, succeeding Noureen DeWulf, who was cast last week but departed over creative differences. Adam Brody, Jacob Hopkins, Kelly O'Sullivan, Tracy Spiridakos and Tyler Labine also star. (Deadline.com)

He'll write and direct the potential hour with Captivate Entertainment's Ben Smith and Jeffrey Weiner and Industry Entertainment's Sara Bottfeld also serving as executive producers. (Deadline.com)
