BOUND FOR THE PROMISED LAND (HBO, New!) - Viola Davis ("How to Get Away with Murder") is set to star as Harriet Tubman in a potential biopic of the famed American hero, who "led more than 300 slaves to freedom in the North and later fought with the Union during the Civil War using an intricate escape network of secret routes and safe houses known as the Underground Railroad." Kirk Ellis is penning the project, which will be based on Kate Clifford Larson's book of the same name. Justin Falvey and Darryl Frank of Amblin Television; Doug Ellin and Jim Lefkowitz of Halyard Park; Davis and her husband Julius Tennon of JuVee Productions; as well as Cliff Dorfman are the executive producers. UNAUTHORIZED FULL HOUSE STORY, THE (Lifetime, New!) - Ron McGee ("The Unauthorized Saved by the Bell Story") is back in business with the cable channel, this time focusing on another famed comedy. The project is billed as a "look at the rise of the cast and the pressure on them to balance the idyllic family life on the show with the more complicated reality of their own lives outside the series, but it will also look at the warm bond that grew up between the cast as the show became one of America's most beloved family sitcoms." Harvey Kahn and Stephen Bulka are the executive producers for Front Street Pictures and Ringaling Productions. (Deadline.com)

AND IN OTHER NEWS... - VH1 has tabled a potential revival of its sister network's series "The Osbournes" (THR.com); Byron Mann will recur on the upcoming season of "Hell on Wheels" (Deadline.com); Dora Madison has joined the cast of "Chicago Fire" as paramedic Jessica "Chili" Chilton (Deadline.com); Vincent Curatola will visit "Law & Order: SVU" as a rotating member of the show's bench (Deadline.com); and Azie Tesfai, Emily Tremaine, Clea Lewis and Joy Suprano are among the faces slated to drop by "Royal Pains" this summer (THR.com).
