AND IN OTHER NEWS... - AMC will set up writers' rooms on three of its dramas - "Goliath," "Lodge 49" and "The Son" - with an eye towards straight-to-series orders off of three to five completed backup scripts rather than traditional pilot orders (Deadline.com); Endemol Shine Studios has optioned Michelle Miller's upcoming debut novel "The Underwriting" to develop into a TV series (Deadline.com); Gbenga Akinnagbe has been tapped to play journalist Dennis Schatzman on FX's "American Crime Story" (Deadline.com); Danny Pino's Amaro won't return for season 17 of "Law & Order: SVU" (THR.com); Julie Ann Emery will drop by "Masters of Sex" for two episodes as "a woman who seeks help dealing with a unique relationship" (THR.com); and Skeet Ulrich is bound for A&E's "Unforgettable" as Eddie Martin, the husband of Poppy Montgomery's Carrie, a role originated by Michael Dempsey (TVLine.com).
