NBC RENEWS NEW VARIETY SERIES "I CAN DO THAT" FOR EIGHT-EPISODE SECOND SEASON

Tuesday 10 P.M. Hit Tops ABC and CBS Entertainment Competition in Adults 18-49 Six Straight Weeks

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - July 2, 2015 - NBC's new Tuesday hit variety series "I Can Do That" has been given a second-season order for eight episodes.

The announcement was made by Paul Telegdy, President, Alternative and Late Night Programming, NBC Entertainment.

"This series thrust our celebrities out of their comfort zones and into exciting, unpredictable situations and they rose to the occasion each week," said Telegdy. "We are thrilled to bring new challenges and up the ante for season two."

In season one of "I Can Do That,"six of America's brightest entertainers came together to compete and showcase their talents with breathtaking and unique acts - featuring skills they did not even know they had.

In each episode and in front of a live audience, the six cast members entered a friendly rivalry as they chose their favorite act - what they thought they could master - and who they wanted to pair up with to master that act. Once they had made their selection, the duos made their way into the training studio where they worked with their expert coach for five days to produce an amazing act. After the week of intensive training, the celebrities returned to the stage to perform their act in hopes of scoring the top slot on that night's scoreboard. Season one acts included The Blue Man Group, Penn and Teller, The Harlem Globetrotters, Avenue Q and Snoop Dogg.

With no judges or eliminations, "I Can Do That" allows the cast to show off their untapped talents and enjoy a little friendly competition along the way. At the conclusion of the season, based on audience votes, one cast member is revealed as the season's ultimate entertainer. Nicole Scherzinger was the season one top entertainer.

Through its first six weeks, "I Can Do That" has averaged a 1.7 rating, 6 share in adults 18-49 and 5.7 million viewers overall in "most current" results from Nielsen Media Research, and is undefeated in the time period versus ABC and CBS entertainment competition in 18-49. This week's edition equaled the 18-49 ratings of the hour's ABC and CBS competition and was #2 or tied for #2 for the night among non-sports shows on the Big 4 networks in every key demographic, behind only NBC's "America's Got Talent."

"I Can Do That" was developed by Israel's Armoza Formats and has established itself as a worldwide success. It's currently in production in more than 15 countries, including Italy, Brazil, Spain, Finland and Mexico.

The series is a Universal Television production.
