HISTORY OF FASHION TRENDS REVEALED IN "STYLE UNZIPPED" PREMIERES MONDAY, AUGUST 10 AT 10PM ET

NEW YORK, July 17, 2015 - FYI adds two new original series, "Get Swank'd" and "Style Unzipped," delving into the world of fashion, style and trends - both past and present. In "Get Swank'd," the hilarious, self-proclaimed "Southern glam besties", Emily Dees Boulden and Nicole Noles, go on a trend-setting road trip adventure in a first-class, tricked out fashion truck. "Style Unzipped" takes viewers on a journey into the fascinating and often unbelievable stories behind the fashionable items we wear today.

"Get Swank'd" follows Emily and Nicole as they travel across America in their "Swankmobile" with a mission to makeover and transform the lives of fashion-challenged locals. Emily owns "Swank," one of the top boutiques in the country, and Nicole, her best friend and former store manager, are both highly sought after stylists. In each episode, viewers will get a crash course in the latest fashion, culture and makeup trends, along with style tips from Emily and Nicole, as they give some unsuspecting people the style overhaul of their lives. Twelve half-hour episodes are set to premiere Tuesday, August 4 at 10pm ET.

From the origins of the bikini, to the military significance of the pea coat and how the jockstrap was once considered a medical cure for kidney failure and insomnia - viewers will be entertained and surprised by the history of clothing and accessories we wear today in "Style Unzipped." Designers, celebrity stylists and fashion experts, including the likes of Dita Von Teese and Arianne Phillips, weigh in with commentary throughout the series. Nine half-hour episodes will premiere Monday, August 10 at 10pm ET.

"Both of these series capture FYI's unique perspective on the fashion space," said Gena McCarthy, SVP of Programming and Development for FYI. "Get Swank'd' delivers gorgeous transformations with humor and wit; while 'Style Unzipped' shares water-cooler scoop about your favorite pieces of clothing in a fresh, visual way."
