SNOWFALL (FX/FXP; W: Eric Amadio & John Singleton; D: John Singleton) - Sergio Peris-Mencheta and Malcolm Mays have both landed roles in the pilot, a one-hour drama set against the infancy of the crack cocaine epidemic and its ultimate radical impact on the culture as we know it. The story follows three characters on a violent collision course: Franklin Saint (Damson Idris), young street entrepreneur on a quest for power; Gustavo Zapata, a Mexican wrestler turned gangster in search of his American dream; and Logan Miller (Billy Magnussen), a prominent family's "black sheep" desperate to escape his father's shadow. The former will play the aforementioned Gustavo Zapata with Mays as Leon Simmons, "Franklin's (Damson Idris) best friend since childhood." DeRay Davis also stars. (Deadline.com)

AND IN OTHER NEWS... - André Benjamin has signed onto the new season of "American Crime" as architect Michael Lacroix, who along with his wife Terri (Regina King), "are prominent members of the community in which they reside" (Deadline.com); Erika Alexander has scored an arc on Amazon's "Bosch" as "a college professor and Deputy Chief Irving's (Lance Reddick) wife who is concerned about furthering her husband's career and keeping her police officer son safe" (Deadline.com); Jordana Brewster and Charlie Barnett have both scored roles on the sophomore run "Secrets & Lies" (Deadline.com); Kahane Cooperman has been tapped as showrunner for Amazon's new docuseries "The New Yorker Presents" (Deadline.com);
