NBC'S "AMERICA'S GOT TALENT" REVEALS THE TOP 36 ACTS CHOSEN TO PERFORM LIVE AT RADIO CITY MUSIC HALL BEGINNING TUESDAY, AUGUST 11
Top-Rated Summer Series to Feature Special Performance by Season 9 Winner Mat Franco on August 12
NEW YORK - August 6, 2015 - America, get ready to vote! NBC's top-rated summer series "America's Got Talent" has selected the Top 36 acts to vie for the coveted $1 million grand prize beginning Tuesday, Aug. 11 (8-10 p.m. ET). Now in its 10th anniversary season, "AGT's" live performance shows will return to the legendary Radio City Music Hall for the third year.
On Tuesday, the first 12 acts of the Top 36 will take the stage at Radio City Music Hall to perform for America's vote. Viewers can vote for their favorite act by phone, Facebook, on NBC.com, via Google (search "AGT") and via the AGT app (available on the App Store and Google Play). Fans will also have the chance to save an act in jeopardy during Wednesday results shows via Google's Instant Save.
The results show on Aug. 12 (8-9 p.m. ET) will feature a performance from "America's Got Talent" Season 9 winner Mat Franco, currently starring in "Mat Franco: Magic Reinvented Nightly" at the LINQ Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. The show offers a fresh, fun and feel-good twist on magic that defies all expectations. In a full-scale production built on brand-new, never-before-seen material, the young magician delivers his most spectacular performance yet - but still keeps his love of getting up close with the crowd at the heart of every show. With his signature brand of breezy humor, Franco mixes his amazingly inventive and always stunning magic with crowd-guided improv, creating a once-in-a-lifetime adventure that's unique and unforgettable to each audience.
Franco will also star in "Mat Franco's Got Magic" on Sep. 17 (9-11 p.m. ET) on NBC. The special will follow Franco as he travels from his home in Rhode Island to Las Vegas, stopping to perform for guests such as Neil Patrick Harris, Heidi Klum, Rob Gronkowski, Jason Mraz and Penn & Teller. When he reaches his final destination, Franco will learn what it takes to put on a high-profile show and fulfill his dreams of becoming a headlining act in Las Vegas.
