AN ALL-NEW INTERACTIVE "DOC MCSTUFFINS: PET VET" APPISODE IS NOW AVAILABLE IN THE DISNEY JUNIOR APPISODES APP FOR iPAD, iPHONE AND iPOD TOUCH

Beginning today, an all-new "Doc McStuffins: Pet Vet" appisode is available on the popular Disney Junior appisodes app in advance of its television debut. Marking the first time an appisode is being released prior to an episode's linear premiere, the full episode, titled "Stuffy and Squibbles," with interactive elements, is now available for in-app purchase. The episode is part of Disney Junior's "Doc McStuffins: Pet Vet" programming event, presented in collaboration with the ASPCA (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals(R)), Solid Gold Holistic Pet Food and Nationwide. The multi-episode story arc, highlighting lessons about care and responsibility for pets, begins FRIDAY, AUGUST 14 (9:00-10:00 a.m., ET/PT) on Disney Channel and WATCH Disney Junior.

In the appisode, kids help Doc diagnose and cure Stuffy's pet Squibbles when he runs low on energy. Key features enabling kids to fully engage in the episode include:

· Diagnose Squibbles - Players use Doc's medical instruments to help give Squibbles a complete check-up. Use the otoscope to check his ears and the stethoscope to listen to his heart.

· Charging Station - Players need to help Squibbles get back into his solar-powered charging station and back on the road to recovery.

· Fetch - In this game of fetch, kids must master the fine art of stick throwing.

· Every pet Doc helps gets recorded in the Pet Vet book. Players add Squibbles to the book by drawing and coloring him in.

"Doc McStuffins" airs daily on Disney Channel and Disney Junior.

Developed by Disney|ABC Television Group's Digital Media team, the Disney Junior Appisodes app offers true interactive viewing, allowing fans 2-7 to touch, tap, swipe, tilt, shake and talk their way through various fun-filled activities embedded into full episodes of some of their favorite Disney Junior shows.

The Disney Junior Appisodes app launched in 2012 as the "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Road Rally Appisode," introducing an innovative new way for kids to enjoy their favorite shows. Well received by both fans and the industry, the app topped iTunes charts for weeks - making it to #1 on the Overall Free list - and won the 2012 Mobile Excellence Award for Best Content Extension Made for Mobile, as well as the iKids award for Best Web/App Series.

Disney Junior reflects the emotional connection generations of consumers have to Disney storytelling and Disney characters, both classic and contemporary. It invites mom and dad to join their child in the Disney experience of magical, musical and heartfelt stories and characters, while incorporating specific learning and development themes designed for kids age 2-7. Disney Junior's series blend Disney's unparalleled storytelling and characters kids love deeply with learning, including early math, language skills, healthy eating and lifestyles, and social skills. In the U.S., Disney Junior is a daily programming block on Disney Channel and a 24-hour channel reaching over 73 million U.S. homes. In total, there are 34 Disney Junior channels in 25 languages around the world.
