After Huge Opening Weekend, Straight Outta Compton Joins Mission Impossible - Rogue Nation, Jurassic World and Other Hit Films Coming to FX Networks

LOS ANGELES, August 17, 2015 - FX Networks, the leading destination for blockbuster features, has secured the exclusive U.S. commercial television premiere rights to Straight Outta Compton after its impressive opening weekend. With $60.2 million in domestic revenue, Straight Outta Compton had the fifth-highest August premiere ever. Straight Outta Compton is the latest box office leader to be acquired for television by FX Networks and its suite of networks - FX, FXX, FXM and the video-on-demand platform FXNOW.

So far this year, FX Networks has secured the exclusive U.S. commercial television premiere rights to numerous blockbusters, including Mission Impossible - Rogue Nation, Minions, Jurassic World and Furious 7. FX Networks has also licensed Trainwreck, Spy, Pixels, Terminator: Genisys, Ted 2, Pitch Perfect 2, Taken 3, Kingsman: The Secret Service and Home.

As an aggressive buyer of major box office hits, FX Networks has established itself as the leading destination for blockbuster features and movies with wide audience appeal. In 2014, FX Networks licensed 67% of all of the year's features that grossed more than $100 million at the box office.
