ARRANGEMENT, THE (E!/UCP; W: Jonathan Abrahams; D: TBA) - Christine Evangelista ("Chicago Fire") has been tapped as the female lead in the drama pilot, a Cinderella story for modern times, with a dramatic and complicated Hollywood twist. The drama follows Megan Morrison, a beautiful young actress who auditions for the female lead in a summer blockbuster playing opposite Kyle West (Josh Henderson), the hottest actor of the moment. After an amazing audition segues into a dream-like first date, Megan's Cinderella story takes a turn to the bizarre when she is presented with a contract that details an entire relationship with Kyle. Megan must weigh her options and the benefits and consequences to her career and her life overall... and decide whether or not she will accept "The Arrangement." Michael Vartan also stars. FIX, THE (TBS, New!) - Jeremy Miller and Daniel Cohn ("Entourage") have likewise set up a new comedy at the cable channel "set around the world of rehab and recovery." No other details were given. (Deadline.com)
HOUSE OF THE RISING SIN (NBC, New!) - Jeremy Miller and Daniel Cohn ("Entourage") have sold a multi-generational family drama to the Peacock "set against a backdrop of politics and the eclectic food scene and vibrant music of New Orleans and revolves around three generations of a corrupt political family which has controlled the Big Easy for decades." Judy Smith ("Scandal") also serves as an executive producer on the project, which is set up at 20th Century Fox Television. (Deadline.com)
PROTOCOL ORPHANS (FOX, New!) - Amanda Segel ("Person of Interest") is looking to bring Peter Facinelli and Rob DeFranco's comic book of the same name to the small screen. Said effort revolves around "a foster family of orphans who are trained by the US government as covert operatives, protecting their country during the day and battling each other at night." 20th Century Fox Television is behind the project with Ross Richie, Stephen Christy and Josh Levy of Boom! Studios likewise executive producing. Facinelli then will receive a producer credit. (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED BRUCE ROMANS PROJECT (FOX, New!) - Bruce Romans ("Hell on Wheels") has booked a potential drama at the network which "centers on the self-made patriarch of a Kentucky bourbon empire and his family. When he has a public breakdown, his children must overcome their differences and their father's sordid past in order to save the family and their business." New Wave Entertainment's Brian Volk-Weiss, Michael Pelmont and Matt Ochacher will also executive produce. No studio was indicated. (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED JAMIE HYNEMAN/ADAM SAVAGE PROJECT (CBS, New!) - Lilla and Nora Zuckerman ("Suits") are developing a new drama inspired by the real-life experiences of "Mythbusters" hosts Jamie Hyneman and Adam Savage. Said effort "revolves around two Hollywood special effects artists who are recruited by the CIA to complete seemingly impossible covert ops missions by creatively using the most basic tools from their craft." CBS Television Studios, MGM Television and The Jackal Group are all behind the hour with the latter's Gail Berman executive producing alongside the aforementioned quartet. (THR.com)
UNTITLED JHONI MARCHINKO PROJECT (CBS, New!) - Jhoni Marchinko ("2 Broke Girls") has set up a potential single-camera comedy at the Eye about "a group of 20-somethings who find a unique way of making new friends." The untitled project comes from ABC Studios. (THR.com)
UNTITLED ROD MAN PROJECT (NBC, New!) - "Last Comic Standing" winner Rod Man is attached to star in a new multi-camera comedy at the Peacock about "a successful comedian (Rod Man) who uproots his wife and daughter from L.A. to his hometown of Villa Rica, GA, to care for his strong-willed mother because, ironically, the stand-up comic is more stable and responsible than his self-important brother and materialistic sister." Kenny Smith is behind the Universal Television-based project with Wanda Sykes and Page Hurwitz of Push It Productions also serving as executive producers. (Deadline.com)

Television (THR.com);
Peri Gilpin will guest on "Scorpion" as the show's new Deputy Director of Homeland Security (TVInsider.com); Fredric Lehne has booked an arc on "Chicago Fire" as "a gruff, hard charging fire chief above Boden (Eamonn Walker) who is one of a new breed of politically savvy climbers in the CFD" (EW.com); and Jay Leno will drop by "Last Man Standing" as "a car aficionado [who] keeps showing up to talk cars and hang out" (EW.com).
