Voting Continues For "America's Choice"

The "2016 Miss America Competition" To Broadcast Live on Sunday, September 13 from Atlantic City's Boardwalk Hall on the ABC Television Network

TV personality Chris Harrison (ABC's "The Bachelor") will return as host for the "2016 Miss America Competition." This marks the seventh year that Chris Harrison lends his talent to the competition. The "2016 Miss America Competition" airs live from Atlantic City's Boardwalk Hall on SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 13 (9:00-11:00p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

Harrison joins the previously announced panel of celebrity judges Brett Eldredge, Taya Kyle, Kevin O'Leary, Amy Purdy and Zendaya. Additional talent, including Harrison's co-host for the "2016 Miss America Competition," will be announced in the coming weeks.

"It is an honor to be back as host of Miss America for the seventh time, said Chris. "This is a special event that has become near and dear to my heart. I'm proud to say I'm one of the longest running hosts in the competition's iconic 95 year history."

Chris Harrison has had quite an extraordinary career in television. From covering local sports in Oklahoma City to venturing into the field of entertainment television, Chris has brought his charm, charisma, and experience to the screen when hosting many of television's top series and events. Chris has hosted HGTV's "Designer's Challenge," ABC's "The Bachelor," "The Bachelorette," and "Bachelor in Paradise." He has also had the opportunity to host and co-host several national events on ABC, including The 2010 Scripps National Spelling Bee, the 2008 American Music Awards Red Carpet Live!, and Road to the 60th Primetime Emmy(R) Awards.

Voting for America's Choice continues today through September 10 at 11:59p.m., ET. For the first time in Miss America history, fans have the opportunity to cast their vote entirely on social media for America's Choice. The winner of America's Choice will move forward to the Top 15 in the competition. Fans can vote on both Facebook and Twitter by posting a status and/or tweet with the name of the state they are voting for and the hashtag #MissAmericaVote.
