CBS AND "THE LATE SHOW with STEPHEN COLBERT" PARTNER WITH THE TRAFFIC AND NAVIGATION APP WAZE TO DRIVE VIEWERS TO THE LAUNCH OF THE NETWORK'S NEW LATE NIGHT TALK SHOW
Beginning Sept. 1 Through Sept. 22, Motorists Can Select Stephen Colbert's Voice
To Give Directions and Comments
CBS and THE LATE SHOW with STEPHEN COLBERT have partnered with Waze, the world's largest community-based traffic and navigation app, to give motorists the option for directions from a fun and familiar voice in late night: Stephen Colbert.
Beginning Sept. 1 through Sept. 22, drivers using Waze will have the opportunity to select Colbert's voice to narrate their driving instructions by clicking on Settings, Sound, Voice Language and, ultimately, Stephen Colbert.
In the embedded video, the navigation commands and comments directing Colbert during his whimsical drive to work are among the many that drivers may hear while using Colbert's voice on Waze.
"For years, I navigated the roadways using a compass, a sextant and the guidance offered by the stars," said Colbert, host of THE LATE SHOW with STEPHEN COLBERT. "But now I can just listen to my own dulcet tones instructing me on Waze."
