Los Angeles - Oprah Winfrey's interview with former U.S. President Jimmy Carter kicks off an all-new season of the two-time Emmy award-winning series "SuperSoul Sunday" on Sunday, September 27 at 7 p.m. ET/PT on OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network. "SuperSoul Sunday" features Oprah's inspirational interviews with today's top thinkers, visionaries and spiritual leaders designed to help viewers awaken to their best selves and discover a deeper connection to the world around them.

The new season of "SuperSoul Sunday" features thought-provoking, in-depth interviews with President Jimmy Carter (9/27); New York Times bestselling author Brené Brown (10/4); Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Malala Yousafzai (10/11); His Holiness The Dalai Lama (10/18); women's rights pioneer Gloria Steinem (10/25); civil rights attorney Bryan Stevenson (11/1); happiness expert Gretchen Rubin (11/8); prolific television creator Shonda Rhimes (11/15); education activist Pastor Wintley Phipps (11/22); religious scholar Thomas Moore (11/29); women's rights activist Zainab Salbi (12/6); New York Times columnist David Brooks (12/13); and "Chicken Soup for the Soul" co-creator Jack Canfield (12/20).

Sunday, September 27 SuperSoul Sunday - President Jimmy Carter Oprah sits down with international humanitarian, Nobel Peace Prize winner and former U.S. President Jimmy Carter for a conversation about faith and spirituality, issues facing our country today and how his global influence grew after he left the White House. As the first evangelical Christian elected president, President Carter opens up about his faith while in the White House and how it guided him in many of his decisions while President. Never afraid to speak his mind, he shares his views on controversies and current headlines affecting America today. He also talks about what he's learned since leaving the White House, where he served as the nation's 39th President from 1977-1981, his strong, guiding force when it comes to peace, and shares never before heard lessons from his spiritual partnership he's found in his almost 70-year marriage to former First Lady Rosalynn Carter. From rural obscurity to world fame, universal respect and contentment, President Carter will take a wise and moving look at what he knows for sure at 91 years old. Following this interview, President Carter announced he had been diagnosed with Stage 4 Melanoma and would be stepping away from the public eye for treatment.

Sunday, October 4 SuperSoul Sunday - Brené Brown Oprah sits down for another eye-opening conversation with research professor and New York Times bestselling author Brené Brown, discussing the global conversation she has ignited on courage, vulnerability, shame and worthiness. Brené talks with Oprah about her pioneering work on vulnerability, that she believes is the path to more love, belonging, creativity and joy, but that in living this brave life, we are inevitably going to stumble and fall. Brené's latest research, outlined in her new book "Rising Strong," focuses on people who are leaning into discomfort and lifting themselves up after a setback. They also discuss how to own our stories of struggle, and that rising strong after a fall is how we cultivate wholeheartedness, the process that teaches us the most about who we are.

Sunday, October 11 SuperSoul Sunday - Malala Yousafzai Oprah sits down with the youngest ever Nobel Peace Prize Laureate and Pakistani activist Malala Yousafzai to discuss her mission to educate girls across the world, her spirituality and how she has thrived following the Taliban's attempt on her life. Her story is renowned all over the world; in October, 2012, at 15-years-old, she was shot point blank in the head by the Taliban because she spoke out on behalf of girls seeking an education. Today, she is the co-founder of The Malala Fund, which seeks to advocate and provide education to more than 60 million girls globally who are denied an education due to poverty, violence or tradition. Also joining the conversation, Malala's father Ziauddin, whom she calls her great influence. An activist and education advocate himself, Malala has taken the values she's learned from her father and evolved it into a global movement. Plus, her critically acclaimed documentary, "He Named Me Malala," portrays an intimate portrait of the girl behind the legend.

Sunday, October 18 SuperSoul Sunday - The Dalai Lama Oprah is joined by His Holiness the Dalai Lama, world-renowned spiritual leader and Tibetan Buddhist monk. They discuss his core practice, which centers around spreading kindness, and his commitment to promoting peace throughout the world. They also discuss what it takes to become a nation of kind and compassionate people, spending hours a day in prayer and meditation, and his work as an international symbol of peace for nearly six decades. The Dalai Lama, born Tenzin Gyatso, was honored with a Nobel Peace Prize in 1989 and is an advocate for greater global equality and the equal rights of all people including peace, happiness, freedom, equality and dignity.
