ABC FAMILY AND POP SUPERSTAR DEMI LOVATO GIVE FANS A TREAT TO CELEBRATE "13 NIGHTS OF HALLOWEEN"

Network Will Air Interstitials Featuring Lovato's Chart-Topping New Single, "Confident"

Burbank, CA (October 22, 2015) - ABC Family has a haunting surprise this Halloween season for viewers and Demi Lovato fans. As part of the network's "13 Nights of Halloween" programming event, ABC Family will air exclusive interstitials from Monday, Oct. 26th - Friday, Oct. 30th featuring Demi and her new hit single, "Confident." ABC Family is becoming Freeform in January 2016.

The popular programming event "13 Nights of Halloween," now in its 17th year, kicks off on Monday, October 19th and concludes on Saturday, October 31st, and features a special Halloween episode of procedural drama "Stitchers." The stunt will also include the ABC Family premiere of Johnny Depp in "Sleepy Hollow," the network premiere of "DisneyPixar's Monsters University," and a delightfully scary mix of Halloween-themed programming airing for the 13 nights leading up to Halloween.

Part of the Disney|ABC Television Group, ABC Family (to be renamed Freeform in January 2016) is distributed in 94 million homes. The network entertains and connects to audiences with bold, relatable programming that celebrates the epic adventure of becoming an adult, from first kiss to first kid. The programming is a combination of network-defining original series and original movies, quality acquired series and blockbuster theatricals. "WATCH ABC Family" (also to be renamed Freeform in January 2016) is an authenticated service which allows viewers with participating TV subscription services access to 24/7 live viewing of the network, as well as continued on-demand access to such popular series at home and on-the-go via a wide array of devices. The network is also the destination for annual holiday events with "13 Nights of Halloween" and "25 Days of Christmas."

With a fan base that includes over 25 million Instagram followers, 31 million Twitter followers and 37 million Facebook fans, the singer-songwriter, actress and philanthropist released her debut smash single, 'Cool for the Summer' off her fifth studio album titled CONFIDENT. Within hours of the summer anthem's launch it trended worldwide and hit #1 on iTunes in 35 countries. To follow, Lovato recently released her second single, "Confident". Her latest album, Demi, hit #1 on iTunes in over 50 countries and produced platinum singles, "Heart Attack", "Neon Lights" and "Really Don't Care." To celebrate the success of DEMI, Lovato performed on stages all over the world when she embarked on two sold-out headlining tours ('Neon Lights Tour' and 'Demi World Tour') as well as countless national TV shows including Good Morning America, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Late Night with Seth Meyers, Ellen and more. In addition to her musical accomplishments, the business woman and entrepreneur released her New York Times best-seller, Staying Strong: 365 Days a Year and launched her very own skin-care line, DEVONNE By Demi. As an outspoken advocate for causes close to her heart, she remains devoted to giving back and serves as a role model by sharing her personal experiences. In honor of her late father, she launched The Lovato Treatment Scholarship which raises awareness for mental health and addiction issues, while providing funds to those who cannot otherwise afford treatment.
