DISCOVERY CHANNEL CELEBRATES "MEGA WEEK" WITH SUPER-SIZED EPISODES OF FAN-FAVORITE SERIES AND ALL-NEW SPECIALS

-Mega Week Airs Monday, December 7 to Sunday, December 13 on Discovery -

(Los Angeles, CA) - Discovery Channel's MEGA WEEK - a weeklong celebration of all things Discovery - kicks off Monday, December 7 to Sunday, December 13 and brings viewers a week of super-sized episodes of fan-favorite series and highly anticipated all-new specials.

MEGA WEEK revs up Motor Mondays with more smack talk and fast cars with a mega, two-hour season finale of one of cable's top series among men, STREET OUTLAWS, airing Monday, December 7 at 9:00-11:00 PM ET/PT. Big Chief and the 405 crew host the most gigantic Cash Days in history, in which 32 cars from across the nation compete in a two-day racing event with a $50,000 winner-take-all pot. Daddy Dave surprises everyone by showing up with a borrowed Corvette featuring the engine from the totaled Goliath, Jackie Knox resurrects and drives The Sonoma, Kye Kelly and the New Orleans crew bring their fastest, and Farmtruck and AZN create hilarious trophies for the event. Personal and regional pride are on the line as one racer will be crowned the "Fastest in the Nation."

Then, on Tuesday, December 8, it's time to shine on MOONSHINERS. This season, the shiners set out to reclaim the backwoods to meet the ever-increasing demand of thirsty buyers. At 9:00 PM, don't miss an all-new episode when Josh and Bill find themselves in a pickle with no still, no home base and no shine - their solution could send their names to the top of the law's watch list.

On Wednesday, December 9, MEGA WEEK gets wild with back-to-back episodes of ALASKAN BUSH PEOPLE and an episode of MEN WOMEN WILD. On ALASKAN BUSH PEOPLE airing at 9:00 PM ET/PT, Matt, Bam, Bear, and Gabe head out on their first-ever hauling job without father and it's anything but smooth sailing. Meanwhile, back in Browntown, Bird, Rain, and Noah do their best to keep their homestead stable. Then at 10:00 PM ET/PT, the ultimate test of skill, survival and relationship continues with an all-new explosive episode of MEN WOMEN WILD. In the mountains of Morocco, Jhoanna and Mitchell continue to fracture despite taking down a massive food source on the mountainside, while Justin and Jenny are barely hanging on after a three-day ice and sleet storm pummels them in Norway. Meanwhile in Mexico, Max and Linn experience a huge bounty - and an even bigger betrayal - that will change everything for good.

MEGA WEEK heats up on Thursday, December 10 with a two-hour FAST N' LOUD special airing at 9:00-11:00 PM ET/PT. FAST N' LOUD's Richard Rawlings, Aaron Kaufman and the Gas Monkeys are living a dream when they build a life-size Hot Wheels car. And what better car to build than one from the original "Sweet Sixteen" set that started the entire Hot Wheels movement in 1968? After Richard discovered a "Sweet Sixteen" Mattel toy that sold for north of six figures, he was motivated to build a Gas Monkey inspired, life-size version of the Hot Wheels car. Conspiring with Aaron, they decided to build the "Custom Corvette," a car not only from the original Hot Wheels "Sweet Sixteen," but also rumored to have been based on the drawings of the original launch of the Corvette. This one of a kind car will have an exaggerated, mean stance, chromed engine, exhausts, and fenders, big, bad wheels, custom white interior, and an over the top glittering gold paint job. But as always, Richard and Aaron work feverishly down to the wire to get their latest awe-inspired creation finished on time.

Friday night's line-up of MEGA WEEK promises to deliver a mega amount of gold. THE DIRT, airing Friday, December 11 at 8:00 PM ET/PT, kicks off the night featuring GOLD RUSH miners dishing out the nitty-gritty on the season with host Matt Rogers. Next up is Discovery's #1-rated show, GOLD RUSH at 9:00 PM ET/PT. Todd Hoffman's crew unearths evidence of a massive prehistoric creature that may or may not lead to big gold, and young Parker Schnabel opens up the biggest cut of his life. But will it be enough to beat his biggest rival Todd? Then stick around because at 10:00 PM ET/PT, there will be a special episode of GOLD RUSH that features never before seen footage captured over the past six years and celebrates Parker's success from his early days as a 15-year-old boy to the 21-year-old man who is now one of the top miners in the Klondike.

On Saturday, December 12, cash in on more of your favorite STREET OUTLAWS episodes from previous seasons that feature the exciting Cash Days event, in which the nation's top-tier racers compete for a large winner-takes-all cash prize and attempt to solidify their status and reputation as the best and fastest.

Lastly, on Sunday, December 13, Emmy-nominated series ALASKA: THE LAST FRONTIER rounds out MEGA WEEK with an all-new episode. Family is more important than ever, and a chill is in the air as the Kilcher family attempts to pick up the pieces in the wake of an unexpected hardship. And with his father and wife by his side, Atz Lee makes the excruciatingly painful journey back to the homestead after a life-changing event.
