JASON DERULO TO PERFORM AT "PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARDS 2016"

Awards Special Will be Broadcast Live, Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2016 on CBS

CBS and People's Choice Awards announced today that international music sensation Jason Derulo will perform live at PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARDS 2016, from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2016 (9:00-11:00 PM, live ET/delayed PT) on the CBS Television Network. Derulo joins the previously announced performer Shawn Mendes for the 2016 show hosted by Jane Lynch, who stars in the upcoming CBS comedy ANGEL FROM HELL. The People's Choice Awards are the only major awards show where fans determine the nominees and winners across categories of movies, music, television and digital.

"Jason is such an all-around incredible performer and triple threat in the industry," said executive producer Mark Burnett. "We are thrilled he is coming to perform, and he will bring the perfect energy to our show."

After producing and writing songs for the likes of Lil Wayne, Diddy and Sean Kingston, Jason Derulo signed to Beluga Heights/Warner Bros. Records in 2009. With four albums under his belt, the Miami-bred singer/songwriter has sold more than 50 million tracks around the world, and has 11 career platinum hits: "Whatcha Say," "In My Head," "Ridin' Solo," "Don't Wanna Go Home," "It Girl," "The Other Side," "Marry Me," "Talk Dirty" feat. 2 Chainz, "Wiggle," "Trumpters" and most recently "Want To Want Me" from his Everything Is 4 album. Voting for PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARDS 2016 has closed for most categories, except for Favorite New TV Comedy and Favorite New TV Drama, which will remain open until the night of the show on www.PeoplesChoice.com.
