NEW YORK (Dec. 29, 2015) - SHOWTIME Sports will expand its exclusive coverage of The Notre Dame Fighting Irish with a bonus bowl game episode of the groundbreaking series "A SEASON WITH NOTRE DAME FOOTBALL" - premiering Tuesday, Jan. 5, at 10 p.m. ET/PT on SHOWTIME.
The season finale will feature the series' trademark - exclusive access - as The Fighting Irish prepare for and compete in one of the biggest College Football bowl games of the year, the BattleFrog Fiesta Bowl. Two of the most storied franchises in college football meet when eighth-ranked Notre Dame (10-2) takes on No. 7 Ohio State University (11-1) in Glendale, Ariz., on New Year's Day.
The series served to introduce a national audience to the most charismatic student-athletes of "Team 127" - seniors Sheldon Day and Joe Schmidt, college football's best linebacker Jaylon Smith, junior wide receiver Will Fuller who enjoyed a breakout season, freshman Jerry Tillery and backup quarterback-turned-offensive leader DeShone Kizer. Viewers will be transported beyond the field and into their lives once again as The Irish perform on this season's biggest stage.
