(Silver Spring, Md.) - For most students, college is an exciting whirlwind of new experiences and unexplored opportunities. But what happens when your college dreams suddenly become your worst nightmare? Set against the backdrop of an idyllic college campus, Investigation Discovery's new series MURDER U explores the terrifying tales of murder and mayhem that have struck college campuses from coast to coast. Each episode of MURDER U unravels a gripping story of a promising relationship that ended in a deadly betrayal. From a tale of young romance gone wrong to troubles on a college debate team, this series recounts campus crimes committed by the most unsuspecting culprits.

In the premiere episode, a single deadly shot takes the life of a promising University of Kentucky student. What began as a quiet group of friends hanging out at a student's nearby house, quickly turned into a midnight murder when shots rang out, unknowingly striking one of the students. Without anyone able to make a clear identification of the gunman, investigators must follow a trail of bitter revenge, and karmic justice in order to catch the unsuspecting killer.

The first episode of Murder U premieres on Wednesday, April 20 at 9/8c on Investigation Discovery.

Tensions erupt one fateful night, and a vengeful act leave lives shattered by a raging fire and tragic murder.

"Grim Reaper" Premieres Wednesday, May 18 at 9/8c Feeling safer traveling in numbers, young college women navigate through their newfound college experience together, paying little attention to the recent crimes that percolate within the small-town campus of Eastern Illinois University. "Devil in the Details" Premieres Wednesday, May 25 at 9/8c With graduation approaching at the University of Florida, and a young romance being taken to the next level, a vibrant young couple sees a wonderful life ahead.
