KRYPTON (Syfy/WHT; W: David S. Goyer & Ian Goldberg; D: Colm McCarthy) - Damian Kindler ("Sleepy Hollow") and Colm McCarthy ("Peaky Blinders") have been tapped as showrunner and director, respectively, on the cable channel's long-in-the-works Superman prequel series, which will reveal a chapter of the DC Comics universe that has rarely been told. Years before the Superman legend we know, the House of El was shamed and ostracized. This series follows The Man of Steel's grandfather as he brings hope and equality to Krypton, turning a planet in disarray into one worthy of giving birth to the greatest Super Hero ever known. Said effort is reportedly finalizing a pilot order with Kindler and fellow executive producer David S. Goyer doing rewrites on Goyer and Ian Goldberg's original script. (Deadline.com)
AND IN OTHER NEWS... - OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network has quietly commissioned a 13-episode second season for its upcoming drama "Greenleaf," which launches June 21 (Deadline.com); "Code Black" creator Michael Seitzman has inked a new two-year overall deal with producer ABC Studios (Deadline.com); and incoming "Nashville" showrunners Ed Zwick and Marshall Herskovitz have assembled a small writers' room to get a head start on a potential fifth season (Deadline.com).

FX Orders Anthology Series "Far Cry" to Stream on Hulu
The limited series from Noah Hawley and Rob Mac, with Mac set in the starring role, is based on Ubisoft's global hit video game franchise of the same title and the series will retain "Far Cry's" signature standalone storytelling format, with each season set in a new setting following a new cast of characters.
