MANHUNT (Showtime, New!) - David Caspe, Seth Gordon, Aaron Kaplan and Jordan Cahan are set to team for a new comedy at the pay channel. The project, billed as an "action comedy two-hander," has a production commitment. Gordon will direct from a script by Cahan and Shark vs. Bear's Caspe with all three presumably executive producing alongside Kapital Entertainment's Kaplan for Sony Pictures Television. STILL STAR-CROSSED (ABC/ABCS; W: Heather Mitchell; D: Michael Offer) - Lucien Laviscount ("Scream Queens") is the latest to land a role on the drama pilot, a sequel to "Romeo & Juliet" that follows the conflict between the Capulets and the Montagues in the wake of Romeo and Juliet's deaths. He'll guest as the ill-fated Romeo opposite Clara Rugaard's Juliet. (Deadline.com)
AND IN OTHER NEWS... - FOX has pulled its upcoming comedy "Famous" from its summer lineup due to casting issues (Deadline.com); Nicki Micheaux and Dorian Missick are both set to recur on TNT's "Animal Kingdom" (Deadline.com); John Brotherton's Matt Harmon is the latest to be named series regular on the new season of "Fuller House" (Deadline.com); Nia Long and Brian Baumgartner have both likewise landed roles on the sophomore run of Amazon's "Hand of God" (Deadline.com); Elliot Fletcher has scored an arc on "The Fosters" as "an attractive and intriguing law student who Callie (Maia Mitchell) meets at a coffee shop" (THR.com); and Piller Segan's Shawn Piller and Lloyd Segan have inked a first-look deal with Entertainment One (Variety.com).
